Israel has hit Hezbollah targets in eastern Lebanon for the first time since the start of the War on Gaza. At least two simultaneous Israeli strikes hit around the city of Baalbek. The Israeli army says the strikes were in retaliation for Hezbollah’s downing of one of its armed drones in southern Lebanon. Media associations world-wide are marking the International Day for Palestinian Journalists. The Committee to Protect Journalists says at least 131 journalists have been killed in Israel’s war on Gaza so far.
