Mali coup leaders promise elections after Keita overthrow

Malian opposition leader Mahmoud Dicko said he would step back from politics, after meeting soldiers who deposed the president in a coup.
The new military rulers have ordered civil servants to return to work, and promised to oversee democratic elections, within a “reasonable timeframe”.
The international community has condemned Tuesday’s coup, with some announcing sanctions.
