Hopefully this issue can be amended in that 3.5 trillion
Youve got murderers
Underground Denver is bigger than Denver itself. Imagine what goes on at that airport.
The homeless has grown enormously in Denver because Of Mayor’s Hickenlooper and now Hancock. Throw in legal pot and you have a recipe for destruction. Liberals really know how to destroy a city!
Most homeless is because they can’t even afford rent at minimum wage at 60+ hours. That is sad that the rent doesn’t mach the pay. Just saying
Praying for our homeless, hang on brothers and sisters, almost home. ❤ I love dolphins and turtles.
Order to Quit usually means you are doing something in violation of the lease. A month to month lease just needs to typically be terminated in writing.
Notice how most men are homeless. Change the divorce plan in courts that give women all the perks. When single women need something they rely on their government daddy. What ever happened to helping our fellow man. Homeless need to become apart of the workforce, labor and what have you. They need to be reintroduce to the workforce and become members of society.
Over population and an open border to certain refugees will not help. The solution would be to stop more people from getting in and to take care of the ones already in, but this will not happen.
Funny how immigrants can come and find a job.
They sure are obese for a bunch of supposedly suffering people.
Homelessness in Portland Oregon , New York, California, and Colorado……I wonder what the common denominator is?
Homelessness is a lifestyle, think of all the illegal immigrants? they are not homeless, they choose to work and pay for rent.
What if some bad weather happens.
That’s awesome 👌
This is a good idea. New York and Los Angeles should follow suit.
People claim “build it and they will come” with homeless resources. People are undoubtedly homeless anyway.
SHAME ON POLIS and Shame on Hancock!! Let him (Hancock) share his multi bedrooms. He has done Nothing really Good for Denver. Love the False sing songy reporting.
The cost of living down there is ridiculous
The sick bed serologically queue because den phenotypically collect towards a paltry brian. minor, smoggy point
Denver’s record on homelessness is TERRIBLE. This is just one positive story. They regularly do “sweeps” on the places people currently without homes create for themselves. It’s cruel and ugly.
WTG…
WAIT, THEY STILL HAVE TO PAY $25 A DAY??? THAT’S THE RENT OF A STUDIO APARTMENT! WHY DO THEY HAVE TO PAY AT ALL??? I BET YOU ALL OF THOSE ORGANIZATIONS ATE MAKING MONEY, TOO😠👊
This is more proof the plandemic is being used to widen the gap between the poor and the wealthy. The US Government is corrupt. Work like a slave until you die or be at risk or losing evening you own.
These camps are the new concentration camps. Why can’t the state build low income homes where the renters have the right to purchase the home at an affordable price based on the persons income? Instead the wealthy keep the wealth by renting and raising rent until those on fixed income can’t afford to survive.
In 1950, there were over 500,000 psychiatric hospital beds in the US
today, less than 50,000 and falling
Population has doubled (which would mean we should have over 1 million psychiatric hospital bed)
Homelessness has skyrocketed
Jail populations have skyrocketed
Coincidence
“clean, colorful” oh boy, lets be homeless!
condominiums for the homeless are better. see manila mayor’s approach towards illegal settling in tondo and binondo. i think the same approach would work.
The outsourcing of industry and jobs, and importing cheap labor has destroyed this country. This practice has produced greedy millionaires, and billionaires, who is playing in space, while people are suffering. S M H🥵🥵😡😡☹️☹️
Enjoy your capitalism, Americans
Vagrants will wind up back on the streets. That’s where they want to be with no rules to follow.
This only increases the number of vagrants.
Horrible!
who files a lawsuit against homeless people?
The sick thing is– many, many seniors are being evicted. We are appealing a 2nd eviction in a year. (NC is still in a State if Emergency). Landlord lies to court. We cant afford an attny- so her lawyers pull tricks like taking us off the docket with less than 24hr notice. We are supporting our five college kids that lost jobs which caused them to lose university places (they rely on their own funds and Pell Grants (thank you)). Its a mess. If our Appeal fails we will be homeless (we are grandparents). I hope everyone finds peace and security. Honestly- the CDC needs to close loopholes and keep rent-paying families housed.
They didn’t just build campsites, they let homeless live wherever they want and they just brought in porta potties for them. They don’t care where they live as long as it’s not in the worthless politician’s neighborhoods
God bless these people 👍 👍
SAME
The American Dream, is just that. It died in a horrific murder plot, brought to you by your friendly upper-class greedy & fundamentally evil fascists.
This need to happen in all large cities and surrounding suburbs.
Not a lovely place to live, but far more civilized than people camping on the streets and in public parks.
Democrats are destroying our beautiful city
Welp, all the West Coasters moving East *doesn’t help* .
It’s hard for older people to get jobs over younger people even if the older person is more qualified and will do a better job they hire the younger person 100% of the time . today’s work climate is not about making money or good customer service it’s about hiring certain numbers of certain types of people to meet hiring equity quotas . I need this many bkls this many Asians 1 white person a native American and a illegal immigrant . once I hire this quota I get assistance and government money to make me profitable without having to rely on revenue from customer so heavily to make the business profitable.
So everybody went from Venice California to Colorado
Some homeless are on their 3rd and 4th tents this year. Easy to walk away from a tent when you just get another one for free. Work with the homeless and you will see many want to be homeless.
I see they are trying to help the Homeless. That’s beautiful. LA needs to step up. There’s a lot of unused space. Prayers to all the Homeless ❤️🙏
LOL. LA spends billions and it doesn’t make a dent because they aren’t interested in solving the core issue of drug addiction and mental illness.
$750 a month (avg $25 per day) for that. Interesting.
I lost my home years ago. It’s a hellish degrading nightmare every bit as horrible as you’d imagine to be homeless.
Mental helth or blue fentynal pills the meth or alchol is the issue to most
Say no to drugs kids.
The rich are not even paying taxes nor do they pay employees a living wage, zero benefits. I know of people working two, three jobs to barely eke out a meager living.
Social Security is not meant to be a person’s only retirement income. The SS admin literally puts it on their website and the letters they send you stating your contributions and accrued benefits before retirement. It’s only meant to provide about 40% of your income in retirement.
future of the american people after the top 1% own every thing
$25 a night? Who can afford that!!??
How do they keep warm on the winter?
He Is So Deserving Of The Assistance. This Is So Unbelievable To See This. It Should Be A Transitional First Step To Get Housing.
Why are all the states that legalized marijuana, now facing a surge in homelessness? Seems to be connected somehow.
That’s amazing, a very creative way of dealing with homelessness.
I don’t have much in comparison to many out there, but my place is paid for and secluded in a wooded area right in town. If things go south for me like it had once before, I’ll at least have a home to live in. Looking at how things are getting, and looking back, i really have been fortunate to own this place. Several years I would not of said that… God bless the homeless.
If we can make internment camps back in 40s for 10s of 1000s japanese we sure can make them now for homeless.
My wife tells me to leave and dont come back, I just head to the desert until things cool down, its no fun when you have no home
Once again left wing policies FAIL the american ppl !
They need to put potted trees around and strips of artificial turf. It would help cut the heat and make it home.
It’s a real tent city. We need one of those here. Our county has so many homeless without any shelter, in the freezing cold winters we have 2 places that open, one for families with children, and one for only men. Both are at full capacity as soon as they open so hundreds don’t get in.
Drug use and suicide is at its peak during this time, understandably. Everywhere needs a place like that, and it should come complete with social workers to help people get on their feet, and advocate for them. And not social workers with extreme caseloads either, I mean like ones that have the time to care a little.
Fantastic job and helpful solutions for homeless people 😃👍💯🙏 so happy that the city is heading in the right direction. Give people a chance!💯💯💯👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
WHAT WOULD THEY DO IN THE WINTER, IT’S SO COLD IN THE WINTER ?
Still $25 a night seems a bit pricey for a tent. That’s $750 each month.
20 $
At least the mayor is doing something
Rap music done this
This is a crime against society. Time to take care of our people of America ! Republicans in Congress are responsible for prolonging this suffering. Senior’s Children Families living under duress. “Wake up !” Government ! The world is watching.🙏🏻amen.
The real-estate is selling housing for nearly 60k over the asking price. Even people trying to buy houses are having to go in bidding wars for usually way above the asking price. Lumber prices have gotten so expensive that the option to build your own home is Still incredibly expensive. Renting is usually forced because it’s the cheapest option with landlords that don’t maintain the apartments with quality appliances or flooring. Food prices have gone up, city water is incredibly toxic to drink therefore creating an extra expense to water bottles and gallons that actually TAKE water from personally owned wells. The system is made to destroy all of us. They want us to suffer while they gloat in their riches and while we fight each other until they are the only ones living. There’s a better way than all of this. Starting with love. Love will change all of this. And God is Love. Seek Jehovah, and His kingdom, and you will have what you need. Repent and pray. He will help you.
I love this.
Put numbers on the homes so the can get mail. Right?
The saddest thing about homelessness is that it’s extremely hard to get out of. Most employers require you to have an address when you apply.
$25 per night is almost as much as my mortgage.
Theres lots jobs
Denver is “AWESOME!” Finally someone showing compassion for people in need!
There’s no compassion to watching people die a slow and painful death on the streets. Actually do something about it. Giving people tents isn’t doing anything.
@hector heck obviously you don’t realize that since this pandemic started, there 1000’s of families homeless thru no fault of their own. A lot of landlords evicted vulnerable people illegally, who had nowhere to go, and couldn’t qualify for a new place because unemployment isn’t considered income. Those people at least have a roof over their heads, and a safe place to sleep!
In CT you have 30 to over a year lease or no lease i know i have been through it a couple of times
I will say that this seems like a great idea and wonder why other cities don’t follow suit. Anyone can be homeless. Right now, I cannot fathom what that is like. I’m sure the folks that can help out in this ‘housing’ site, do. Gotta keep it clean and orderly. Love that Mayor!
They need those in Atlanta.
And the solution was not “get these people back in their fuvcking apartments?
That is great but the pandemic is not over. I hope they are giving vaccines.
Those “camps” are full of drugs. They’re just doing to get them all in one spot.
for $25 a night you could have a three bedroom house in Kansas right next door
Great idea. They should try it in other places. The rate of homelessness has increased substantially since COvid. Not just adults but entire families with children
That should be going on all over the country!!! Helping people get on their feet while having a safe place to lay their head!!!!
This is pathetic. The wealthiest country in the world and they cannot build real housing for these people.
Looks like Lib dystopia California.. so let’s cross off Denver as a place to ever live. Pathetic where this country is headed.
You mean the future land fill?
You dont let homeless live in affluent neighborhood. Thats wtong
Its day light but non of these people are working
I pray every day 🙏
I’m never homeless again
Get a job you bomb
Not good enough! If we were to embrace Imperialism, every single citizen would literally be born owning land by law. There would never be any homelessness. Capitalism is slavery!
All people in the United States should be entitled to food, shelter, and clothing.
Yet, America gives billions of 💵 dollars to foreign countries.
what? impossible! it cant be! a city actually _offering a solution_ to their homelessness issues?
A lot of people are going to be evicted after this pandemic is over if you stop paying rent because the government gave you permission to do so you going to be the first people evicted guarantee you, it’s called retaliation.
