Russian President Vladimir Putin has congratulated his troops for seizing the eastern city of Lysychansk. Moscow’s victory comes after weeks of heavy fighting for Ukraine’s last key stronghold in the Luhansk region which is now all but under Russian control.
But the fight is not over yet, as Ukraine prepares to defend the area around Donetsk.

Look at a map: the ukrainian army retreated from a tiny pocket, which was at risk of being surrounded. Now the frontline will be more straight, and Russia will exhaust itself on it because Russia has no meaningful exterior support. On the ukrainian side, the frontline will be supported by an endless supply of american and european artillery, anti-air, anti-tank etc, because the free world can’t afford to let the russian dictator win this, as it would open the door for any dictator to attack who they want, beginning by China with Taiwan… And it is only a matter of time before the free world take over the russian assets in those countries, which are now only frozen. Assets which are there due to the fact that corrupt russian oligarchs prefer the French Riviera to Vladivostok, wonder why… This will be billions and billions supporting the war effort in Ukraine, on top of the billions the free world (which is also the « wealthy world ») have by itself.
