South Korea: Clean-Up and Recovery underway in Flood-hit Seoul

South Korea’s capital Seoul will start phasing out basement apartments – after three people died in the flats during flooding this week.
The tiny dwellings are usually rented out to people on low incomes.
Clean-up and recovery efforts accelerated in South Korea’s greater capital region on Wednesday as skies cleared after two days of record-breaking rainfall that unleashed flash floods, damaged thousands of buildings and roads and killed at least 10 people.

Al Jazeera’s Rob McBride reports from the capital, Seoul.
