Many of the world’s most successful long-distance runners come from Kenya.
But dozens of them are serving bans for using performance-enhancing drugs.
Kenya’s athletics federation, and some banned athletes, have pledged to tackle what they call a “doping crisis”.
Al Jazeera’s Catherine Soi reports from Rift Valley, Kenya.

The Kenyan government can not be trusted about this at all.
They have known about their athletes using doping for many years, but ignored it because their doped athletes have brought glory to the country.
Most likely have/are all top athletes in Kenya used/using doping and the Kenyan government has done nothing to catch them and stop this.
The Kenyan government is so extremely corrupt and I very much doubt that they will in reality do anything serious to stop their athletes using doping.
It is more likely that they will focus on getting their athletes better at avoiding getting caught using doping.
Really puzzling why athletes are taking performance-enhancing drugs (dope and steroids) when those had been banned for use. Does cheating worth it if your reputation gets ruined if get caught?
It isn”t easy to come back after ban. Stop it guys.
