A Massachusetts man pulled his car over and ran across four highway lanes of traffic to help save a driver in distress. NBC’s Valerie Castro has more on the man’s heroics and how he is now being honored.

THIS is what, who, how people should be. Caring of each other. Politics does not matter in the face a situation like this. I pray that more people will choose to be more brave, more connected, more aware, and more HUMAN, and leave more of the posturing and politics in the gutter where that belongs. I see a fit strong courageous morally blessed man, doing what a man should be doing. He risked his life, his family, his childrens’ futures, all for a stranger in need. I don’t see politics of any kind, I don’t see anything other than one human choosing to help another. WHY can’t we choose to all be a little more like this? I am so glad to see this, and see this being reported in the news. THIS is what should fill our news channels. Stories of people being real people, helping out their fellow human beings.

I’m a little confused. How did they end up stopping the car and wouldn’t it have been better to use his vehicle to stop the car rather then running to try to open a door that on most vehicles would have auto locked when in drive? Where’s the video of what ended up happening that they were able to get the car stopped?
