With her smooth and laid-back singing style, she introduced the wider world to Brazilian bossa nova.

Rest in peace 🙏
A classic…..
Larger than life singer considered the non official Brazilian anthem “ The Girl from Ipanema “ RIP !!!
She had a soft playful voice I can listen to. RIP to The Girl From Impanema😔
Memories nothing but good memories, thank you may the lord free your soul.
This one hurts😢. Before I even knew who this woman was and hearing her distinctive voice as a young kid growing up, her songs were always ringing in my head❤. A huge loss to the world and Bossa Nova…..thank you Astrud for your gift to the world and may your songs continue to massage our ears and psyche 🙏🙏🏻🙏🏼🙏🏽🙏🏾🙏🏿
Rest in Power!
