In India’s Manipur state, the Kuki ethnic minority and Meitei majority are preparing for more outbreaks of violence.
Tensions rose in May after a court recommended the Meiteis be granted preferential status.
Since then, at least 115 people have been killed in fighting and more than 40,000 forced from their homes.

We in India now know that the violence was started by the protesters of a tribal students organisation. Those who start the violence are greater culprits. They do not respect court verdicts and rule of law. It was Indian govt’s mistake to allow them to keep advanced weaponary, so the meiteis have suffered.
