China is worried that this war is going to spill into a wider conflict.
On Monday, China’s Foreign Minister Wang Yi made two separate calls to the foreign ministers of Israel and the Palestinian Authority.
Speaking to Riyad al-Maliki, Wang said Beijing deeply sympathises with the difficulties of the Palestinian people. Wang condemned attacks on civilians. He said China is going to continue to provide humanitarian aid to the Palestinian people.
During his phone call with Israel’s Eli Cohen, Wang urged Israel to do what it can to protect civilians.
Wang said Israel has a choice between war and peace, and it is imperative that it must do everything it can to prevent the situation from spiralling into a further humanitarian catastrophe.

China relations with Isreal has gone down hill as Biden administration pressured Isreal to cancel couple deals China had in place with the Isrealis. Also there is mega plan for trade route which links India, middle East and Isreal and US are currently investing in which is supposed to challenge China’s trade route and they are not happy about it.
