#PuertoRico #newyearseve
3rd world america
Ahhhhh Puerto Rico the most beautiful and safest land in all the worlds combined according to the left that is 😂
Ever been?
The US should annex Puerto Rico and move Puerto Ricans to Cuba.
whaddadope
Why don’t they just get out of BORIKEN?
Who cares
Visit Puerto Rico
That problem is a lot of older than 2017… Is normal just like Haiti and south Africa now..
Corruption keeps the infrastructure Jodida..
For all of you PR’s in america running ur mouth talking about FBA & hip hop, yall to need to take ur az to PR & help fix that power grid. Ur island is in dire need right now. Go do ur due diligence because yall might as well forget about DT helping yall out.
@jjmcg9184 What are they supposed to do? Move back and work as unlicensed electricians? Swallow the following pill: They’re American citizens. They don’t have to do what you’re saying. Too bad facts hurt your feelings. And if you don’t like hip hop, you could like, just *NOT* listen to it.
@stanford-nf4jk i was saying that there’s definitely some PR electricians living in the states that can go down & help out, as much as they be hooking up illegal electricity up here. And obviously, i know they’re U.S. citizens. I was just saying to the ones that got something slick to say about FBA’s not creating hip hop. They better focus more on what’s going on in PR than that.
@@jjmcg9184like u get to tell anyone anything the white man tells you what to do and has destroyed hip hop but you’re worried about us 😅😅😅
I’m from the slums of Brooklyn NY grew up in the 80s we were at the place and the time and we ARE THE CULTURE.
You on the outside looking in
Trump did it, he’s Hitler
BLAME TONY
It’s telling how U.S. media frames Puerto Rico’s struggles as if it were some distant, unrelated entity rather than a part of the U.S. This narrative conveniently ignores the colonial relationship the U.S. maintains with Puerto Rico, a territory stripped of full sovereignty, where its people are U.S. citizens yet denied the same rights and representation as stateside citizens.
By reducing the story to surface-level statistics, like “80% of Puerto Rico is without power,” without delving into the systemic neglect and exploitation that caused its fragile infrastructure, the media fails to contextualize the crisis. Why not highlight how U.S. policies, decades of imposed austerity, and the prioritization of profit over people have left Puerto Rico vulnerable to every disaster?
sorry to be pedantic but unicorporated territories belong to but are not part of the United States
NBC, thank you for the news.
The whole electrical grid infrastructure is antiquated and needs to be replaced.
Island of garbage 😂😊
Happy New Years 🎉 from Puerto Rico 🇵🇷
And they say they don’t need the United States 😂😂😂
what the joke
We are a part of the U.S. 😅
@@shirleesantiago8529 I can barely tell 😂😂😂
Yet they focus on saying they created hip hop 😂😂😂😂
They stole salsa and reggaeton.
No that’s what you’re focused on 😅😅😅
@ nah I’m chilling with ac watching sports center 😂😂😂. Might go get some chick fil a
island of garbage
Like your country right
Why Puerto Rico is not an other State of the Union? Like Hawaii?
eeewww, you want Garbage Island to become a state 😛
Solar! We have friends in the mountains there that installed a small system and make due without worry about the terrible grid there.
A lot of them have since Maria!
Pwerto Rico
Luma has to go that’s it😮 they taking billions of dollar from Puertoricans 😮
Its trumps fault
Rushha cut the power caple
Biden did it! He feel asleep and hit the power off button! Someone wake him up!
China hacked the system
Pray for senior citizens and elderly 💔
United States congress has dumped billions into PR since before Maria. After Maria US coast guard discovered a ship full of supplies to improve their electric grid on its way to the Dominican Republic. The ink on the paper hadn’t dried before they sold it. Don’t forget all the food aid they allowed to turn bad because they couldnt find a trucking company capable of delivering it. PR is corrupt.
And trump./usa wants to buy Greenland???
Take care of what you have
Don’t turn quaint peaceful villages into violent crime ridden slums
Duh…
Taxes aren’t used properly they should have working infrastructures
Despacito!
From us native Hawaiians
(kanaka maoli) , prayers & god bless the island of Puerto Rico 🇵🇷 🤝✝️🙏🤙
USA needs to send free thoughts and prayers
Me cago en to
Can’t believe PR is a commonwealth of the U.S. seems more like a third world country.
You e never been there 😅😅😅
Floating island of…
At least we are in our homeland
🤔🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🧐Uhmmmm!!!!!!
No no no A.E.E never take care the electric line never maintained the plant.luma start when everything was already messed so go back 50 years
Puerto Rico is too corrupt to be a state…
The U.S. is too corrupt to make us one.
STRANGE that it happens now. VERY strange indeed !
Since when has PR had power issues and when did Luma take over????? Imagine you starting a new job and you have to deal with crap that that has being going on for years!!
Thats correct, but they accepted the job, knowing all of these, and indicating they will solve them mess. They neither have not done that nor presented a plan to get out of the mess. They are giving the impression of just managing the mess while the company in Canada is earning billions.
Call daddy yankee or jlo, where they at?? Jlo help???for help
Was Tony Hinchcliffe right?
.
They need to stop voting for leftists corrupt politicians that only steal the money
the conservative PNP has won the last 3 elections
I bet if Trump step foot there they would turn on every breaker box and fast.
Maybe DT can throw them a box of candles…
I seriously think in the not-so-distant future, the U.S. will disown PR.
🙏🙏🙏🙏
Get rid off luma ,they are stealing the money and they don’t do anything. It’s a shame
And the ones on the mainland voted for the president who despises the island.
Shocking
That’s dirty !!!!
It’s sad and heartbreaking, they say its a failure in the infrastructure but they’ve been saying the same thing every time power out, for more than a year, where I live they leave us without power every week for more than 8 hour a day, countless frozen foods gone to waste, we went through 3 fridges in 2 months, and now our brand new washing machine broke down after 2 months of usage, I have family members that come to our home to wash their clothes because they washing machines broke down because of the power outages and they always tell us its a failure they’re working on, oh and in some places if there’s no power we’ll have no running water, si there’s that. And now they’re going to raise our electricity bills again. It’s and injustice what we are living here.
Trump was right about them..
About what, exactly?
It’s ridiculous
Trump is a monster for how he treated Puerto Rico
😮
elon.
Womp Womp.
I was there after Maria I stood all those temp towers with helicopters back in 2018, only way to get to those towers, only takes one in the middle of the jungle to slip its base in wind and fall
What a way to end the year
China is hacking infrastructures 🤔
Our treasury just got hacked
First cuba now puerto rico
Whos next ?
Gonna happen here too
Who’s next after Luma ?????
Greed and corruption
THIS IS AMERICA COME ON
The light problem was before Maria hurricane, Hugo hurricane in the 1980s really did the damaged to PR
And by the way if they would pay TAXES then everything would be fixed
Luma, the company running PuertoRico’s power, does little to no management to the system. The system has been messed up, even before Maria. The hurricane simply exposed the problem and made it worse. The government and Luma can’t be bothered to help their citizens most of the time.
Thanks for the forecast! Could you help me with something unrelated: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). How should I go about transferring them to Binance?
When this happened in Cuba, a lot of Yumas went crowing about the evils of socialism and how superior and developed was Puerto Rico compared to that backward commie state…..
Is Puerto Rico as US territory?
Thank God we’re home. We were literally there a week ago.
Because you are irrelevant till the US government or big business thinks that you are worth anything
And they wanna become a state? Haha no thanks they’re full of corruption
Get trump to call that one guy to get it back on like he did in 2017 during hurricane Maria, maybe it’ll be on in a few months.
update: Tonight we are going dark as well. The light has come up for some areas of the island but it keeps cutting off again. In My area it just came up about 5 minutes ago
Latinos for Trump right? Just call Don. He’ll fix everything
Call Biden. He’s the president. He grew up in the Puerto Rican community. He said it himself.
This BS has been going on for decades! Decades!
US Territory ?
The ppl say this has been going on for decades. Fix the electrical problem. 🇺🇸
Why is their infrastructure so bad? What is the leadership doing to get it fixed?
The island even when it receives a lot of funds from the US, does not have total control of the funds so many times these funds are given to contractors on the basis of their relation to the federal and state governents. They might be expended without being effective.
The federal government order the government of the island to privatize the management of the public utility. The private company is just managing the problems apparently is not solving them as the are required. They have much less personal than when the utility was managed by the government.
Landfills now grid problems?
Get you 💩together PR or we’ll have to send in the gringo’s from the mainland to clean up the corruption.
Tell Puerto Rico since they love Donald Trump and vote for him, maybe he can help them with more toilet paper. LOL 😆 🤣
NYC had a blackout? LOL.
They cut the power of half the city to have the New Year Party (NBC is a Communist network)
Don’t forget their landfill being overfilled
You guys are in luck!!!! On January 20th your savior will become president….. I’m sure that he will help Puerto Ricans for their blind loyalty by budgeting money and pledging that the funds will be spent to help modernize their electrical infrastructure. After all, Puerto Rico IS a U.S. territory……..either that or he’ll come back and throw some more paper towels at ya. F.A.F.O. 🤷♂️
What now Puerto Rico going to poor mouth America into giving a whole new electrical system in their whole island
Jajaja ese problema viene desde antes
Not much news on this.
SOUNDS LIKE CUBA !!
They still can’t run anything no matter how much money you give them . Stop poring cash to Porto Rico .
LUMA’s incompetence, decades of mismanagement, and corruption persist. Privatizing the energy sector aimed to erase wrongdoings, but they entrusted an unprepared company with an outdated and broken system. Even before Hurricane Maria, the electrical grid was an absolute mess. It only got worse after Maria.
Local and federal governments, as well as the private sector, have failed Puerto Rico.
The Puerto Rican government never took care of their people
