Attention turns to Qatar on Wednesday for another round of Gaza ceasefire talks. They come after Egypt’s President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi met CIA director William Burns, in Cairo. In northern Gaza, Israel’s military offensive in Shujayea has continued for a tenth day. The Qassam brigades, the armed wing of Hamas has described fighting with Israeli forces as quote fierce. The head of Lebanon’s Hezbollah Hassan Nasrallah has warned that his group would fight with “no rules” and “no ceilings” in case a broader war with Israel erupts, and that nowhere in Israel would be safe from Hezbollah’s attacks. In a televised address, Nasrallah said that included possible targets in the Mediterranean Sea.
