The Atlas Lions stunned the football world by defeating European giants Spain and Portugal in the knockout phase to become the first African country to make it to the semifinals. They have never qualified for a World Cup but for years, most of the world’s footballs have come from northeast Pakistan. The city of Sialkot makes about two-thirds of them including the official ball for the 2022 World Cup.
