Iran’s former president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is making a comeback bid in the upcoming presidential election. He’s the first prominent candidate to register for the elections set to take place on June 28th. Ahmadinejad previously served two four-year terms from 2005 to 2013. Iran’s Supreme Leader has declared five days of national mourning following the death of President Ebrahim Raisi in a helicopter crash. The wreckage was found early on Monday.
