Global supply crisis: Shipping delays for Chinese-made goods

The COVID-19 pandemic has caused logistical headaches for global shippers thanks to raised transport costs, quarantine measures and extra paperwork. China’s zero-tolerance approach to the coronavirus has not helped: in May it closed one of its busiest ports because of a COVID-19 outbreak. That has affected the supply of Chinese products to the United States, dampening the Thanksgiving Day holiday sales, when shoppers are traditionally on the hunt for bargains. India building its longest-ever vehicle pass in Kashmir
