Israeli strikes hit Hezbollah arms depots in Lebanon, sparking fears of escalating conflict

In southern Lebanon, Israeli airstrikes targeted Hezbollah weapons depots, causing secondary explosions. Israel attacks Lebanon’s Baalbek after Hezbollah fired rockets into Israel

Exchanges of fire on the Israel-Lebanon border are escalating. Hezbollah has launched a barrage of 100 rockets into Israeli territory. At least 100 were fired from southern Lebanon towards northern Galilee and the occupied Golan Heights. That escalation comes after Israel launched an attack deep inside Lebanon overnight that killed at least 4 civilians and a number injured in Baalbek – 100 km from the border with Israel. Israeli jets bomb eastern Lebanon for the first time since Gaza war began

Israel has hit Hezbollah targets in eastern Lebanon for the first time since the start of the War on Gaza. At least two simultaneous Israeli strikes hit around the city of Baalbek. The Israeli army says the strikes were in retaliation for Hezbollah’s downing of one of its armed drones in southern Lebanon.
