Ethiopia’s GERD: Second phase of dam filling ‘nearly completed’

Ethiopia’s state media is reporting that the second phase of filling of the country’s controversial Grand Ethiopian Renaissance Dam is nearly complete. Ethiopia says the project is essential to its development, but Cairo and Khartoum fear it could restrict their water access.
