Israeli forces have killed at least 27 people across Gaza since dawn on Sunday, including in an attack on a school sheltering displaced people west of Gaza City, resulting in the deaths of at least four Palestinians. Yesterday, 16 people died in a strike on a UN-run school in Nuseirat Refugee Camp. The escalating violence has overwhelmed al-Aqsa Hospital, worsening the dire medical conditions exacerbated by ongoing fuel and supply shortages. Hospitals in Gaza have been treating the wounded since the war began, but they have been constantly overwhelmed. Many patients have no choice but to sleep on the floor, and some require help that the hospitals are unable to provide. Due to the closure of the Rafah crossing to Egypt, patients cannot receive necessary treatment abroad. The Israeli blockade is also denying Gaza’s hospitals essential medical supplies, worsening the situation.
