An Israeli air strike has killed Al Jazeera cameraman Samer Abu Daqqa and injured the network’s Gaza Bureau Chief Wael al Dahdouh. The two veteran journalists were reporting on an attack by Israeli forces at a UN-run school in Khan Younis. Continuous heavy shelling by the Israeli military prevented paramedics from reaching Samer. He was later found dead, after bleeding for hours from his wounds. Al Jazeera’s Hoda Abdel-Hamid reports. Israeli air strikes have targeted a home in Gaza, killing the renowned Palestinian writer, poet and professor Refaat Alareer. He co-founded a youth-led Palestinian non-profit project called We Are Not Numbers. Six members of his family including his two siblings were also killed in the strike.
