Refugee boat tragedy: Relatives seek answers about those on board

It is been nearly one week since a boat carrying about 700 refugees and migrants sank in the Mediterranean Sea, off the Greek coast. Nine suspected people smugglers accused of playing a role in the tragedy are due to face court in the coming hours. The Greek coastguard has been criticised for not doing enough to save lives. Migrant boat sinks near Greece: Survivors treated in Kalamata as search continues

Coastguards have recovered the bodies of at least 78 people, who drowned off the southern coast after their fishing boat sank. Operations are underway to find hundreds of others who are missing and feared dead. Survivors say the boat was carrying up to 700 migrants from several countries including Pakistan, Egypt and Syria. Three people suspected of human trafficking are under investigation. Caretaker Prime Minister Ioannis Sarmas has declared three days of national mourning.
