At least 41 women have been killed in violence between rival gangs at a women’s prison in Honduras. Five other women were injured and taken to hospital after the deadly riots north of the capital, Tegucigalpa. US requests extradition of former Honduras President Hernandez

The United States has asked Honduras to arrest and hand over its former president. Juan Orlando Hernandez has been accused in a federal court in New York of receiving money from drug cartels.
