IAEA’s Grossi says situation ‘serious’ at Ukraine nuclear plant

Ukraine’s flood-ravaged Kherson has been hit by Russian rockets for the first time. This comes as the head of the United Nations atomic watchdog has inspected the nuclear plant in the neighbouring Zaporizhia region. Rafael Grossi says steps are being taken to stabilise a serious situation at the facility which has been affected by the flooding from the Kakhovka dam. Iran nuclear programme: UN watchdog chief holds talks

The head of the UN nuclear watchdog has returned from talks in Tehran with an agreement that nuclear inspectors will be allowed to service monitoring equipment in Iran’s nuclear sites. Iran says the International Atomic Energy Agency’s officials will be allowed to replace the memory cards in recording cameras that will be kept in Iran It is the first such meeting since President Ebrahim Raisi took office and talks in Vienna are expected to continue later this month. Iran parliament moves to halt IAEA access to nuclear sites

Iran’s parliament has passed a draft motion to halt unrestricted access by the International Atomic Energy Agency to its nuclear sites. Rouhani accuses ‘mercenary’ Israel of killing top Iran scientist

Iran’s President Hassan Rouhani has accused Israel of killing a high-ranking Iranian nuclear physicist and said that Tehran would retaliate in its own time.
