A US aircraft carrier, the Nimitz, has arrived in the South Korean port of Busan as part of extensive military drills. It is the first time the nuclear-powered warship and its strike group have visited the peninsula in 10 years. The United States has held air exercises with South Korea and Japan involving strategic bombers, a day after North Korea fired a Hwasong-15 intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM).
