The death toll from a Russian missile attack that destroyed an apartment building in the Ukrainian city of Dnipro has risen to 23, regional council head Mykola Lukashuk says, while 73 people were injured. Russia carried out three air raids, 57 missile attacks and 69 attacks from heavy weapon rocket salvo systems on Saturday, Ukraine’s top military command says. A new wave of Russian strikes on Ukraine has left at least three people injured in the capital Kyiv, the city’s mayor has said. Ukrainian presidential adviser Mykhailo Podolyak says more than 120 missiles had been fired at Ukraine. “We’re waiting for further proposals from ‘peacekeepers’ about (a) ‘peaceful settlement,’” he wrote on Twitter, referring to Russia’s calls for a solution to the war Moscow started with an invasion on February 24. “For the moment, there are three wounded in Kyiv, including a 14-year-old girl. Local Ukrainian officials say two people have been killed in a missile attack overnight on the southeastern region of Zaporhizhzhia following new Russian missile strikes. Three others were wounded in an attack on the northeastern city of Kharkiv, and three were hurt in Odesa. Explosions were heard in several parts of the country, including the southern port of Odesa, the capital Kyiv and the central city of Dnipro, and civilians were urged to take shelter as air raid warnings were issued. At least two explosions were heard in Kyiv on Tuesday and smoke could be seen rising over the city. According to Reuters, the blasts followed air raid warnings across Ukraine hours after President Volodymyr Zelenskiy delivered a video address to leaders of the Group of 20 nations who are meeting in Bali.
