The Nigerian armed security forces said it has stepped up its operations against all forms of threats in the country’s maritime environment and has intensified its fight against crude oil thieves, pipeline vandals and other criminals operating in the oil rich Niger Delta. 0 Nigerian police has launched a rescue mission after gunmen stormed a secondary school and kidnapped a number of children. The attack took place in President Muhammadu Buhari’s home state, and police and the military were still working to determine how many were kidnapped and missing. Just two days before the school abduction a village elder along with 20 others was kidnapped in the same state.
