US aircraft carrier USS Nimitz joins military drills in South Korea

A US aircraft carrier, the Nimitz, has arrived in the South Korean port of Busan as part of extensive military drills. It is the first time the nuclear-powered warship and its strike group have visited the peninsula in 10 years. It comes as North Korea has called for increased production of weapons-grade nuclear material and is launching a series of missiles in protest against the resumption of joint exercises.
