So… Human Farming? Profit Farming? sound like MMORPG to me
Kridtin Arthapruek ITS MORPHIN TIME! DRAGONZORD! 🐉
So apple is like a farm…Serwer is not getting the point Buffet is making and often gets him to repeat and elaborate.
Buffett just deconstructed the analogy completely, and that’s his reply. It’s fucking unbelievable – out of all the things journalists are supposed to be at least above average in, they can’t even grasp basic use of language. Wtf do they learn during their 4-5 years in college??
People seriously don’t listen with their ears, but instead love scrolling through the comments during Buffett speaking! He’s in it for the long term, and the vast majority of Americans have attention spans shorter than does a fruit fly, so it really doesn’t matter if Apple releases a new product soon or not, American consumers will buy up anything even if it’s simply an outdated, repackaged smartphone with a trendy new case and new colors! Warren Buffett is not himself a consumer, per se, and that’s why the dumbfucks in the comments below or the studio in this clip will never truly understand what he’s talking about. Everyone loves to dream about becoming rich and part of the billionaire class, but no one is actually going to work hard to making that a reality… except for the brains who do it like Steve Jobs and Warren Buffett!
typical pump and dump. he pulled the same stunt with ibm not too long ago.
“Macro enough view” – so cutely balances other’s sarcastic comments. She is adorable.
He doesnt compare investing in stock to farming. He compares it to INVESTING in a farm. HUGE difference.
boeuf3000 exactly
boeuf3000: Good point.
Because it depends in what “farm” you invest?
I agree with Buffett and disagree with Yahoo staff. If you’re going to sell the farm anytime you see a bad tomato you shouldn’t be in the stock market
@Coloredspaces
The absolute epitome of Dunning-Kruger on display in this video. I’m curious how all the portfolio’s of these people who think they know better than Buffett about what an INVESTOR needs to worry about look like. It is exactly like owning a farm – you leave the farming to the farmer, and so long as a meteor doesn’t crash into the farm, a farm will continue to produce as long as good farmers farm it. Same with Apple. If Buffett is willing to hold onto Wells Fargo, he is not at all worried about Apple. Big yikes by Yahoo Finance. Somehow I ended up here, pretty terrible first impression.
There’s a reason why these journalists are on a bottom tier finance network and Warren is managing hundreds of billions of capital.
M G completely agree
So the analysts get it wrong again… He didn’t go on a tangent, farmers might look at their crops everyday but the investor doesn’t have to, etc.
Essentially just have a long term view after you’ve chosen the right “farm” and don’t pay analysts useless fees
I’m starting to think these analysts have selective hearing or ADHD or something. Is it that hard to understand what the old man is saying?
Journalists have got to be dumbest college graduates out there. How the f*k can you study language for 4-5 years and not comprehend a simple metaphor?
This yahoo staff sucks lol…
Apple isnt a long term investment .. it is a tech company .. look at MS they dont sell MS-DOS 3.0 now ??
but a farmer can sell apples now with come from a tree that is 50 years old ..
Apple as all tech companies need to pivot every 5 / 10 years .. now that Steve isn’t there .. it looks like Tim cant follow in his footsteps ..
Better look at Elon then Tim .. he pivot and start new business every 5 / 10 years
Henri Frits maarseveen Tim Cook is an outstanding CEO
wait yahoo is still around ?
Your worse enemy yeah it’s a sewage plant
So they air the clip with Buffet, in which he very clearly expresses what his view about long term investments and then they spend the rest of the time in the studio trying to find subtle flaws and tell the viewer he didn’t really mean everything he said and try to fill in for the one of the worlds greatest investors and say what they think he meant, it’s ridiculous.
Warren Buffett has spoken and confirmed that Apple is a farm.
Obviously, Forrest Gump was right when calling it a fruit company.
😂
Again i see Western’s arrogance here. They never see outside white countries. IMHO android s becoming more and more of Ios, and the future of hardware s with Chinese! may b Apple would still survive in Western countries bcoz many Chinese products r blocked there and Apple’s contract phone business model is a dud in a new era of 20gb for 20$
he does not use a computer or send email, so yeah he this is really inside his circle of competence.
deee dawwwggg he changed his mind on airlines too he knows good businesses and invests for forever
@FighterFlash the guy is really hyped up
Yeah. Old guy thinking he knows something about an IT company. And who’s his best friend? Aww…some guy named Bill Gates.
Dumbo’s don’t under stand genius
My money guru,
Those yahoo stuffs and there 100 generations won’t have the money buffet has.
Omg the interviewer is a disrespectful dumb ass: “and so you’re saying apple is like a farm?” Lol wtf no dude. It’s the principle ffs. And he’s not talking about being the farmer, rather owning the farm. There’s a difference.
He ballsed up buying Apple their streaming service will fail and they have lost the phone market to Huawei. Their ecosystem sucks.
They didn’t get a point… Warren meant don’t break your head watching dumb news… you have invested in a company not on a running horse… it takes time for business to grow…
people will never get it…thats why investing in a good business and hold it for a long time and you will do well!!!
Longterm
Just listen to Warren Buffett. Listening to these Yahoo Yahtzees will lower your IQ and depreciate any assets you own instantly.
This was actually painful to watch. How low can these journalists IQ be! :facepalm
