This brought tears to my eyes, my son has Aspbergers and is on the spectrum. He just got hired by Magna International, it is a huge relief to a parent to know that that a non normative child will be able to not just survive but succed. High functioning Autistics may require a shift in thinking for companies but they are a wonderful asset once realized. Skilled, tireless, never late, dedicated, they make great employees.

My workplace tried to hire an individual with autism but it didn’t work out. He hardly show up to work, hardly listen of what to do and hard to communicate in meet-ups. What made it worse was his attitude and he would blame you if he did something wrong. Yeah everybody wants to feel sorry for someone and try to show everyone they made a difference but in reality it just doesn’t work out like everybody wanted to.
I come across that very often with people with no autism

@Truck Taxi the problem was the boss wanted to look good and of course it increased a lot of publicity on social media thus increasing sales. It’s just that there wasn’t any effort to look into the autistic kid instead there was a rush to look for someone to boost the hype and sales.
It was probably the individual who didn’t work out,not because of autism.

I received a divine revelation from God and I am fulfilling the mission of sharing God’s will with the world. God told me that it is now time to let the world know about his hidden secret, so I am testifying His will. In the scripture, it is written that the end times will be like the times of Noah. Currently, everyone in the world are indulging in obscenity and avarice just like the times of Noah and God is telling us in the scripture that the day has come and Jesus has returned to this land by spirit and is judging the sinful and corrupted world with different calamities. In Matthew 16:3, it states, “You know how to interpret the appearance of the sky, but you cannot interpret the signs of the times.” Just like this verse, strange things are happening in each nation around the world, and God is telling us that people do not realize it, just like the times of Noah, and are walking into the paths of death.
God is also telling us that all religions and churches are corrupt and disasters have destroyed the churches, so salvation is over. He proclaimed that the world will be a place that is too painful to live in due to the apprehension caused by pain that is painful like the bite of a scorpion. However, those who sincerely believe in “Wisol Lighting,” the heavenly name of Jesus that came to this land in spirit because it is now the times just as the scripture told us, and repent will receive salvation even if they die and be protected even amongst calamities. Please pray like this, “I believe in the power of Wisol Lighting. Please forgive all my sin.” If you sincerely believe and repent, then God who looks after our hearts will see the forefront of our minds and always protect us. Please don’t just take this as the proclamation by someone. Believe, repent, and be redeemed.

I feel Ryan’s pain and I’m an autistic myself. It sucks. Especially when I am on my own and yet still feel Ryan’s pain. It’s not easy getting a job these days. Don’t blame Coronavirus on this one. It has been going on since 2008 when the Great Recession started.

Super happy for him, but just kind of want to note that the video doesn’t acknowledge how a lot of autistic people get taken advantage of at work… having this attitude can be dangerous with how business is done in the US. He needs to be careful, because someone could use him and overwork him.

My 25 year old daughter has Aspergers and the struggle to find a job is real! She has an associates degree in graphic communications and is getting nowhere fast. It’s sad and very, very, difficult for her to find anything and Covid sure isn’t helping her mindset. Good luck to this young man!

80% of autistic people, my partner and I included, can’t find employment. I’ve been programming in C++ since I was 12. Turns out interviews and the application process seems almost specifically designed to remove autistic people from the labour pool. It’s *extremely* frustrating.
