Players from a Southern California high school basketball team are under investigation from school officials after throwing tortillas at the opposing team after a post-season win. NBC News’ Guad Venegas spoke to some of the players, coaches and parents about why they say the incident was racially motivated.

I’m mad because every other race/minority would get mad and exclaim that others don’t know their history and how hard they’ve had it. People of Mexican/native descent have had it really hard. But no one really knows our full history. My grandparents and even my oldest aunt still had trauma from traveling at night into certain predominately white towns in the south.
