@Jessica C With inflation, the money you borrowed is more valuable then the money you have currently, so it is easier to pay debt. In a deflationary environment, current money is “stronger”, harder to acquire — therefore more difficult to pay previous debt.
Who cares if debt is more expensive in deflation??
if you’re core cost of living drops with it you’ll be able to handle it just fine but with the end result of cheaper general expenses and greater savings rates in the future.
Taking the hit on asset prices and debt will actually make us richer in the end even though it’ll be tough for a bit as the markets purge out bad money, speculation and the deflation cycle plays out.
This deflation argument is ridiculous.
What they’re really saying is deflation will prick the massive bubble our entire economy has become and they don’t want that but it’s necessary the same way a sick body needs a fever to right itself.
Deflation bad?……..
For the banks and those with debt
@Rick James explain please

We don’t get enough of Deflation risk coverage in media. It is possible.
Then you know what the answer is. If everyone screams inflation then the opposite will most likely be true.
Inflation is an invisible National tax …… deflation is planet wide starvation

Sike, inflation is at a 13 year high.
Milky presentation.
At least, it aged that way.
