Unfortunately, this will continue to happen until gun lovers, who hide behind the archaic 2nd amendment stop using it to own guns. There is an epidemic of mental illness in this Country and the two do not mix. Until gun lovers stop loving their guns, as much as they love human life. This will continue to happen. Mass shootings and murders of schools, churches, shopping malls and parties are so common in the states that it is sadly part of everyday life in the US and not seen anywhere else in the world. sadly it’s part of American culture.
Grown adults in this country are threatening violence to avoid a public health measure and acting like children, funding gets cut for studying firearms incidents because the lobbyists can afford nicer wine and dine routines than the parents who are burying their babies; is any of this that surprising?

Until something is done about the mental health problem in this country this will continue. Banning guns won’t do anything either, the kids will just figure another way to harm people. It’s the mind that has gone bad and is in need of fixing. The mind is the weapon in this case.
It’s time to rethink how kids are being raised and what they are being taught. How can we put kids on the right path so they can make a positive difference in the world? How can we help them find their purpose and live it?

The father bought the gun for his 15-year old teenager, as a present. It was kept in an unsecured cabinet. The prosecutor is charging both father and mother with 4 counts each of involuntary manslaughter, rightly so.
It’s about time they started holding the parents of these kids responsible.
I feel like that school shooter should be sentenced, not just in jail for a few. What he did was beyond awful, poor parents that lost their child(ren).

A great example to work on. Their lives (all including the parents) should be destroyed. That would send a signal to all those that own guns and are irresponsible.
