That’s why cops will not get involved anymore than the bare minimum. Cops are not proactive. Too many things can go wrong as we are not robots…and does a cop want to be held liable? Perhaps when enough people have died and crime rampant , will the people let the police do their jobs…until then, protect and arm yourself cause there is no police out there willing to stick their necks out for you.

All these so called accidents excuses is getting tired. None of these officers don’t know where they’re gun or teaser is? This was no accident. Every officer claiming it was an accident, mistaken a gun for a taser, is lying. These mistakes are taking people’s lives. Maybe they need to have an intense pressure test when graduating the police academy because if these officers can’t differentiate between a gun and a taser in moments of intense pressure, then they don’t need to be police officers. These mistakes are crucial and could be avoided if the officers knew they’re own weapons were located on the same belt you wear to work everyday.
Cop retired has a nice pension and benefits and now wants to live in peace.

It probably was an accident but that doesn’t erase consequences to those actions. He made a mistake by trying to get back in the car and tragically his life was lost. Police officers are so quick to pull weapons on people with no weapons that they have lost instinctive techniques to detain a person.

Yelling taser while proceeding to in actuality, grab gun & pull the trigger multiple times, she thought that plan was brilliant. I ironically read a story recently where two cops got killed dealing with a white driver they pulled over. The guy was aggressive, trying to flee the scene, was pulling on them, they had all the patience in the world for him. Was using their tasers.. guy ended up taking one of their guns, killing one & injuring the other.. most cops have a naturally higher level of aggression when dealing with black people. This guy may have been in the wrong for whatever reason but they aren’t judges or prosecutors, who are they to determine if someone deserves death? They love doing things not in their job description. Hopefully this lady gets jail time. I see right thru her bs and racism.

She’s guilty. It doesn’t take a professional to see and feel the difference between a firearm and taser. She had plenty of time to say “taser” multiple times, so she had time to know the difference. The taser is also on the complete different side of her firearm.
Did she have to flip the safety off before shooting? Or does she carry her firearm loaded with the safety off? 1of those has to be a factor.

I believe Officer Potter was reaching for her taser when she thought she saw Daunte reaching for his gun and her brain jumped to gun and pulled out the gun instead.
Its weird that the black police officer who was in charge of the arrest did not draw a taser or a gun but the white policer officer quickly draws her weapon and fired. This shows me how much we value lives!
