I’m glad he got the 10 years. 110 is insane when we don’t give that to true murderers. How many times have we seen 1st and 2nd degree murder charges at 5-25 years rarely life or the death penalty while non violent crimes or those defending themselves or actual accidents get life. I’m so happy his sentenced got reduced, I was seriously hurting for him and then thinking about how I could drive my aunt’s car just to buy some milk and meet in an accident and I have to sit down in prison for an accident that I couldn’t control or stop from happening,

This was an unavoidable accident. The driver took many reckless actions that caused the crash. He may not have intended to cause a crash but he definitely knew better and as he result he killed 4 people and injured 16 others (many of which were serious injuries). That’s 4 people who will never walk the earth again and 16 other people who have had their lives altered forever all because he chose to take dangerous action . Recklessness is not a mistake, it’s a deliberate choice and an easy choice to avoid.

The Governor reduced his sentence to ten years? Why he killed four people. He missed two runaway truck ramps. The company who trained him is also responsible. He needs a longer sentence or be deported if he is illegal the trainers need to be jailed and never be allowed in the trucking industry again. Someone needs to sue his company seven ways from Sunday.

If he was licensed to drive that truck, he had to pass a test on the safety laws. He was well aware on the speed limit for trucks that big and for him to be speeding at all is the problem. If he wasn’t going well above the speed limit, his brakes failing wouldn’t have been an issue. He would have been able to react faster.

Yeah, because the truckers were boycotting Colorado and millions of signatures on a petition. It’s sad that it took that to get them to take action. Good on those truck drivers for standing up for him.

Good to hear this, was following this case from here in India and all I could see was one guy being made a scapegoat and penalized unreasonably for what is clearly a failure of the system. An RCA needs to be done and the issue identified to prevent such incidents from happening again which will give more justice to the victims that crucifying this one lad for his mistake.
