Quoting a number of Russian deaths assumes Putin cares, looking at the devastation in Ukraine he does not care about the optics or the people that have been killed. he wants to annihilate the people of Ukraine so he can occupy the empty land and be directly on the NATO border he pretends he does not want. You cannot believe anything that Putin says. Offer Putin a safe passage to hell.

I read online that there is a Russian millionaire who lives in the USA and he is pledging $1 M to anyone who eliminates Putin. He has asked for 1000 more rich guys to pledge the same so the offer will be substantial. I think if the reward is that much, there will be attempts.
I’m wondering if Browder’s conclusions fall a bit short of his own arguments. If it’s true that once Putin starts something he never backs down, then wouldn’t depriving Putin of his finances still leave him with the big red button on his desk?

@Elizabeth , Joseph. Browder seems to think that financial strangulation is what’s necessary to stop Putin. That doesn’t follow from his belief that Putin never backs down. Browder has to be aware of this himself, so I don’t think he is saying what he really thinks, just not to sound too crazy himself.
While most of Browder’s facts may be correct, justifiably or not, his conclusions might be too much affected by his personal obsession with Putin to be of much use in finding a solution.

And browder was closer to putin and this situation than anyone else we’re hearing from so he’s very knowledgeable. But there’s always some little fellow with ego problems back seat driving in the comments section…

Right on target, Bill Browder. Putin has to be taken out before he gets to the NATO countries (now). We have to stop the Russian economy because it is the only way to deplete Putin’s war chest. We will start the economy over when the war stops and people are no longer being bombed by the hundreds or thousands. We will restart the economy when Putin stops subtley threatening nuclear war. We start the economy over when we are no longer facing war every day because Putin one day set out to steal the nearby country’s land and assets as his own, and kill all the people.

My own opinion is that Russia has made many demands for a long time, negotiate some outs with Putin. End the war. Otherwise you turn Ukraine into an Afghanistan.

Moreover Russian government can buy crypto abroad while ordinary citizens would find this more difficult. Let Russians and Ukrainians protect their savings.

india and china will trade in their own currencies and demand heavy discounts. both will be careful not to give russia anything that angers the west and invites sanctions. russia will survive but as a destitute like Venezuela or north korea. certainly not as a country capable of funding an occupation against a us armed guerilla army.
Crypto migration will reduce the Russian governments tax revenue, so it wont help Putin in that sense. It could help ordinary Russians.

I am starting to get caught up on Putin’s nastiness ( this is Lance’s wife, who has had a lot of health problems, & problems of a more criminal nature, involving hypnosis), but I am genuinely curious about 1 thing: Why didn’t Putin invade Ukraine in colder weather, with a more well-timed plan to deprive Europe of heating? Would Ukraine just be too snowed under to invade? Maybe it would be disheartening for his own troops, & they would sympathize with freezing Europeans?
