Russia is claiming that Ukraine’s military has carried out an attack on its soil after a series of explosions were reported this morning at an armory in the Russian Belgorod region. Founder and Executive Director of the National Security Institute and former Associate White House Counsel to President George W. Bush, Jamil Jaffer, explains what kind of message the alleged attack sends to Russia as it continues its bombardment of Ukraine’s Donbas region.

Russian troops and weapons have brought all kinds of deaths and destructions on Ukraine, and it is only a fair game for Ukraine to reciprocate. The West must provide Ukraine all available means to inflict similar pains and sufferings to Russia on its own soil till all Russian troops are fully withdrawn from Ukraine. Next, the West must allow Ukraine to sue Russia in their courts to use blockaded money to pay for all damages they have inflicted on Ukraine.
