@DEJAN, Hans Elijah A. really? watch out in the coming months and years for the investments and economics climate of Ph. due to international trust with the Marcoses. You can start counting 1. JP Morgan Investment an American,
Done sub. Atleast you are not bias you tackle negative and positive infos. unlike the other media platforms who only go for hate and negative info.even doing fake news
@James Blankenship I still think martial law is always the last resort and needs to be short lived because the act itself is open to human rights violations, undue arrests, jail, torture.
@MrsCitrine the Marcos rules ended in 86. It begins in 65. The US gave back the islands in 54. Before Marco I don’t know anything about. What happened in that 21 years is a mystery to me. I do know that the US had military bases here. I also know that the US has made almost 100 regime changes in the last 125 years. All of those changes were not to better the lives of people living there. So if you want get an idea of what is the true history. You have to get your information from a lot of different sources. That would take a long time. Hopefully the Philippines is on the right track. We can only pray. I can’t vote and it is dangerous just to give an opinion.
@James Blankenship in terms of countries like the US all I know without a doubt is they never do anything simply from the kindness of their heart. There is always an ulterior motive and in the case of the Philippines sometimes the mind is a hard thing to train so the colonial mentality has been a downfall.
@MrsCitrine maybe since the enternet while people from everywhere are able communicate. The world will be forced to improve.
I live on a island in the Philippines but I still talk to friends from the US, Switzerland, UK Australia and more. The crimes that happen globally are not hidden like before.
Looks to me that we two choices. Either a nuclear end to life as we know it or a One World Order.
50/50 chance..
FULL OWNERSHIP OF BUSINESSES BY FORIEGNERS IS BASICALLY… MAKING THE PEOPLE OF THE PHILIPPINES SLAVES IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY… THE small people WON’T OWN A THING!!! SELLING THE PHILIPPINES TO THE HIGHEST BIDDER!!!
Totally agree. The Philippines don’t have to be rich to be happy, but the land is their own and not from the foreigners. US is rich but the people within are still unhappy they are never content on what they have.
@Leonor Tenorio what do you know about being an investor? Kasi salita ka nang salita pero mukhang wala kang alam sa pag invest, besides you’re speaking as if investors are individuals who would care about politics. They do not care, Americans are investing in China even with all the atrocities of CPP, why? Because their policies are beneficial for them. Even Elon Musk invested in China, Microsoft invested in China.
We already have a wide range investors, from large entities to small banks, and many more are lining up due to the good policies of Duterte for businesses, which BBM will surely continue and to improve as part of his platform.
Please stop acting wise when you know nothing.
We and also businesses are more afraid if Leni have won, because her party have the tendencies to scrap and stop all the good policies made by PRRD. When policies are constantly changing, the security and stability will decline which makes it unsuitable for us and the businesses.
PHILIPPINES… for a people who pride themselves about being religious… they sure have a HARD TIME electing and recognizing what a righteous person looks like!!! ALMOST MAKES YOU WONDER IF … ( I’ll let you fill in the blank )
Also makes me wonder that a self-righteous person can also be using religion to make them appear as the victim and the nice one here. They’ve been using religion to gain sympathy. *RELIGION AND POLITICS SHOULDN’T BE MIXED*
The Woke, Far Leftist Liberals are squirming and squealing! All these American Left Liberal Channels who suck up to the Democrats, are in deep pain with the election results of Philippines! Even the nouveau riche, pseudo intellectual Americanized Filipinos are in shock! The vast majority of the Filipinos, who are in the lower income bracket are totally happy. But I hope the Marcos-Duterte duo lives up to their expectations! Leaders in Philippines are known to use their positions to amass wealth!Bravo! Congratulations Marcos Jr.- Sarah Duterte!
It won’t, BSP(banko Sentral nang pilipinas) would not allow that. According to the BSP CEO, the BSP want peso to dollar conversion to stay at 48-53 pesos per dollar. If it goes beyond that, the BSP will intervine. So basically it is impossible because BSP would not allow that to happen.
@OrangeLeaf36 Could be that in the future Philippine currency as a top list most tradable currencies in the world but it’s depends upon how the leaders of the government handling the economy of the country
The focus of the coming BbMarcos first to unify the nation into one important goal, it is to make the life of everyone to be in abundance, and secured,
If you want abundance and security, that means you focus on economy. Here in U.S., economy is top priority every election. In the Philippines, most voters don’t understand how economy works that’s why they vote for candidates who give them tingles and not their economic platform. You can’t have abundance and security without thriving economy and jobs for the people. That’s not how things are done.
@OrangeLeaf36 Ninoy Aquino was a CIA co intel pro, he was a communist marxist left leaning radical posing as a democrat, he established the communist party of the Philippines and the NPA to bring down the Marcos regime, this is the reason why Marcos declared Martial Law. (Ninoy) He wanted to be the Che Guevarra / Ho Chi Minh / Fidel Castro of the Philippines, he appointed Joma Sison to lead his ala Bolshevik / French revolution in the Philippines that created chaos, anarchy and teerrorism in the country in the early 70s. Even the 2017 PhD dissertation of Joseph Scalice at the University of California, Berkeley reveals all this, entitled Crisis of Revolutionary Leadership: Martial Law and the Communist Parties of the Philippines, 1957-1974.
They almost have to do it, especially for smaller businesses. it is almost impossible to invest there because you have to give a stake to a person who can just rip you off and win in court easily. The problem wasn’t so much in giving a local a share of the company, or even the risk of them ripping you off, the problem was the court system.. as a foreigner you can never win against a local… and over the past 40 years the people have learned that so just abuse naive investors.
@Cactusman that’s not the kind if self interest needed in a public servant. Stop being naive. Filipinos cannot make excuses. He needs to be held accountable for everything, everyday.
@ItzSachielYT Gaming Girl the thing is history has been written and when the name Marcos comes to mind people attached it to dictatorship. At this stage, Marcos Jr. should be focusing on his own and not on his family’s tarnished legacy . He will be judged this 6 years if he is a strong, incorruptible leader who is first and foremost for the Filipino people without signs of autocratic, dictatorial presidency and for the fair treatment of all under the law. That is a heavy burden but he has been given this one chance and even his supporters should ask no less from him. Yes no one is perfect but as long as he has his priorities straight and that is he is voted in to serve the Filipino people unequivocally. So time to see if he is up for the job
Good observation. Build Back Better is just a just full of hot air. I have yet to see anything done I haven’t heard anything new, so they just sweep under the rug. I saw more infrastructure work done in the Philippines than here in the US
Security. And political stability. Foreign capital will not come if we don’t have these. When Foreign Companies come, tourism follows. Tourists need to feel SAFE and WELCOME. Without big businesses , no jobs. No jobs, no cars. And those infrastructures are useless. CREATE JOBS, well-paying jobs for Filipinos!
Infra is not exclusive for your car but for transportation of goods and services. When transportation is good, the prices are low. When the prices are low..
@Joseph Cadiao I know. But better than low prices, is providing good paying jobs. Because no matter how cheap things are, if you don’t have a job…. you don’t have money, if you don’t have money, no matter how “cheap” , it is still “expensive” for you.
The future of the Philippines will be the same as the last time the Marcos were in power. At the end of his term he will flee the country with 10 billion dollars and live in Hawaii.
Mayroon pa din lalo na sa bandang huli yung tanong na may “Bongbong Marcos legacy or appropriation risks at getting family money back; family equity back.” Kuwawa talga ang mga pamilyang Marcos, palaging sinisiraan.
Interviewer is putting words back into the Interviewees mouth! Maybe the Opposition should examine their Strategies to see why this Marcos Scion won the Elections ….why is He so Popular? I’ve read a few articles from the Masses, read that. The Rich got Richer and the Poor got Poorer is a common sentiment amongst them. ☹️ Maybe it’s time to Examine our Conscience. I know I will try to be a better Christian Businessman Practice Honest Business.
But as soon as CNBC prints something negative, (because there are foreign investor confidence repercussions) y’all will call them “biased”. That’s not how bias works. Media is like a report card. Any of you have kids? What’s the point of a report card if y’all only want to see what you want to see?

Not sure if that is the solution. Form of govt should be tailored accdg to culture. Federal is very decentralised. That’s good for people like the Germans. But Asians, including Filipinos, our culture favours a strong central leadership. This is why Asia has a lot of Strongmen leaders (Marcos Sr, Lee Kwan Yew of Singapore, Park Chung hee of S Korea, Mao ze dong of PROC, Sukarno and Suharto of Indonesia, etc . ). Asians RESPECT their leaders. It may be unfashionable but I hope Bongbong rules like his father. Soft, Western-style democracy like the Aquinos had are slowed down by Opposition who get emboldened by the Administration’s weakness.
Down worries my bank the new president Marcos and vp sara Duterte is good people and help all country to welcome to join account of the Philippines government..down believe to the rappaler new this is agency news not good..
I like that part towards the end when the interviewer asked whether such risks will include the marcrocs getting their ill-gotten wealth and money back. Keeping it real. I like it.
ENERGY INDEPENDENCE… Don’t let China take your oil. Philippines has huge capital outflows because they import 90% of their goods. Balance the trade, it wasn’t done previously because oligarchs controlled the importation of goods through PEZA.
Full foreign ownership is kinda sus, para bang binenta na natin ng tuluyan ang bansa, tapos isa sa ginamit nilang dahilan sa pag papa sara ng ABS CBN eh dahil may foreign ownership daw. napaghalataan.
The odds were stacked against us from the very beginning. After years of misinformation, disinformation, and fake news, most of our people chose to believe the lie instead. Lies repeated so manytime became truth.
I’m not too keen of foreign ownership of properties. There must be a condition (that favors Filipinos) that the company must comprise of at least 90% Filipino workers, greater than 50 in management and cannot lower that percentage. They cannot own any small islands as a private land or any beachfront properties. Cannot convert farmlands to any type of real-estate, cannot displace or evict any small properties owned by Filipinos.
I wonder why the interciewer is saying this. Are you asore looser? You are talking about economic policy. If u want to rall politics dont go to business segments.
The West doesn’t want to invest in the Philippines, but then they got upset that China is investing in it. The West is treating the Philippines like a colony.

The focus of the Philippines’ new administration would be to put the Marcos crime family back on track stealing

@Cheng Legaspi …and who are you?
The focus of the coming BbMarcos first to unify the nation into one important goal, it is to make the life of everyone to be in abundance, and secured,

Subbed!
Philippines politics is so scary. Look like corruption and crimes are going to be rampant again.
why wont bbm supporters just look at the opposite side of the marcos family. (refering to the replies)
@alf ray Do you have any sources to back your claim?
@OrangeLeaf36 Ninoy Aquino was a CIA co intel pro, he was a communist marxist left leaning radical posing as a democrat, he established the communist party of the Philippines and the NPA to bring down the Marcos regime, this is the reason why Marcos declared Martial Law. I hope China doesn’t take over the country
Very professional! Thank you.

Hw was shock to hear that ph approve full ownership of foreign company in ph… And emphasiZe about china as if its really bad… Lol…
They almost have to do it, especially for smaller businesses. it is almost impossible to invest there because you have to give a stake to a person who can just rip you off and win in court easily. @Peter Sedesse indeed… We hope on the next admin, they’ll look up on that law as it really dragging the nations economic growth down …

Have you read the Policy already? or this is just your assumption?

big challenge for Marcos in economy.
debts, GDP, lockdown, oil/gas
Digong inherited 40% GDP to debt ratio. Marcos will be inherit 60%.
Another issue is that they cannot just raise taxes coz Marcos actually has issue with tax payment.
Exactly
We join hands as Filipinos for the country’s recovery. Tayo din magturulungan. Pilipino tayo!
Just help. Dont complain
12 trillion pesos dutergte is leaving the phil. Shame shame shame
Economy sorry for that no to bbm
“including family money …..equity back” hmmmmm 😉
You can’t put the economy back following CCP lockdowns and fake propaganda. Also the lobbying and corruption that reign since Marcos Ferdinand.
But as soon as CNBC prints something negative, (because there are foreign investor confidence repercussions) y’all will call them “biased”. That’s not how bias works. Media is like a report card. Any of you have kids? What’s the point of a report card if y’all only want to see what you want to see?
So much for that fake expensive beach the build in Manila was euphemism for lobbying the gullible tax payers.
It’s called tourism.
Don’t worry about Chinese there’s a lot of Chinese living here.
you know their country brought us trouble in the west ph sea?

Philippines need federal government , for better economy
yap. metro manila at calabarzon gusto un. wala n sila ka share s income nila. kawawa mahirap n lugar s mindanao at visaya. meron brgy s makati malaki pa income s 1 mahirap n bayan s mindanao at visaya. kaya hindi magawa ni digong nakita niya naasa ang mindanao s luzon
No to federalism
No risk at all stop the bullshit

I like that part towards the end when the interviewer asked whether such risks will include the marcrocs getting their ill-gotten wealth and money back. Keeping it real. I like it.
31M Filipinos nabudol.period
Talo ba yung kandidato mo?
Nice thoughts madam
I’m not too keen of foreign ownership of properties. There must be a condition (that favors Filipinos) that the company must comprise of at least 90% Filipino workers, greater than 50 in management and cannot lower that percentage. They cannot own any small islands as a private land or any beachfront properties. Cannot convert farmlands to any type of real-estate, cannot displace or evict any small properties owned by Filipinos.
That last question! Hahhaahha.
I wonder why the interciewer is saying this. Are you asore looser? You are talking about economic policy. If u want to rall politics dont go to business segments.
The resource person is apolitical bit the interviewer is a not. He is a sore looser
That’s why they were there now, the gullibility of the untrained mind of the masses put him on his pedestal to protect his personal interests!
The West doesn’t want to invest in the Philippines, but then they got upset that China is investing in it. The West is treating the Philippines like a colony.
Kahiya hiya unlithiefs with good presidents asean.
If the cheater can bring back a good economy
