Can’t the car manufacturer make something to turn off the key garbs?
So much for digital… Back to old fashioned physical key! I’m back to phone calling instead of text/email or social media…an actual voice is priceless.
Can say with Confidence, it’s Not a Gang banger.
Nothing new. Can do the same thing with any radio frequency using something called a “yardstick”. Can also do the same kind of wireless attacks on your bank card chip lol.
Technology is a mofo…
yeah because technology can’t be hacked
The best deterrent is a .50 cal Barrett 😂😂
I STILL PLACE THE CLUB ON MY STEERING WHEEL, IT WORKS , CRIMINALS ARE LAZY
The fact that this guy calls the person stealing his vehicle “gentleman”. That’s some serious class right there.
hes as sophisticated as the tech used to steel his ride lol
This is the kind of innovation we need.. A high tech key fob that stops emittingsignal while stationary. While at it, put a fingerprint sensor on the start stop button itself.
Get compustar it has rolling code, the old ones did. Put your key next to you cell it interferes with signal
Honestly pretty smart. Even though they deserve jail, they could be stealing someone’s work car and they won’t be able to provide for their families.
The government that put their ancestors in the ghetto has prevented THEM from supporting their families too.
Maybe the car is just payback, idk
Thanks BĮDEN 😒 FOR INSANE INFLATÍON.
My grandfathers designed all the vehicles & the key fobs to unlock them. All of his parts & inventions were stolen by stalking criminals.
The hide a key was my grandfathers invention as well as the little black box. The first 100 channels of cable tv to ever exist.
Can we just wrap our key in foil for the night?😃
I don’t care.
This should have been dealt with years ago, but educated people with that ability chose not to anything about it. Now I’m supposed to shake my head at the criminals doing this? No. They are making authorities and lawmakers look incompetent and that never gets old. I have very little faith in humanity. You people are not smart.
Put a bomb in your car somewhere & a tracker, whoever steals it make it detonate….😎
Luckily my family’s has motion sensors camera so if somebody comes they will get shot. Thank God for guns
They took his car and he calls them “gentlemen ” next time why not just invite these gentlemen in and give them some coffee also
Funny car companies are getting sued for releasing technology that harms consumers, some law firm will make tons of money off this with a big group lawsuit.
Crazy how quickly these “fancy” cars can be taken so easily. Buyer beware.
Works great until the owner pulls a 12 gauge with 00 buckshot. Make no mistake, someone will gun you down for stealing their car – it’s not worth the risk.
very interesting and informative yet still unfortunate the things people go through just to survive.
Sooooo insurance agencies need to start sending bills to the makers of these devices. Maybe that’ll rattle some cages and create some controls over who can/can’t purchase.
Insurance companies make money when you get stolen from.
Why would they do that?
Your can also put a poison bomb inside the car. When they start the car it explodes and they die
Thanks for demonstrating for the thieves🙄🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️ and Telling Step By Step WOW
If only they put this energy into actually getting a job and stop stealing other peoples hard earned possessions. Pathetic losers.
Just shoot them
Why don’t the manufacturers just make the keys like the old style.. why is keyless now standard?
That why I have The Club my steering wheel. The broke my lock twice and saw that thing and walk away. Yes they can bypass it but the trouble they don’t want that extra minutes to ruin their day.
Why we stressing? Why not just put the fobs in faraday cage to disrupt the signal??? If you don’t want to spend money, put it in a Microwave, lmao!! Just don’t start the microwave while it’s in there I take responsibility for any who does that! It’s like leaving a metallic spoon on a plate and starting it!
Thank you so much for sharing this very useful information!
It’s a classic “man-in-the-middle” attack. Police use the same basic principals to monitor cell phone traffic by spoofing a cell tower. Welcome to the 21st century. As the man said, the best manufacturers have already dealt with the problem.
Imagine devices like this being used on teslas while driving
The internet has been used as a battleground by the governments of the world for the past decade at least.
You literally surf in war every single day.
Cyberpunk is now. If you dont want your car hacked, build it yourself. We literally have the tech to do that now, and it’s not that expensive compared to buying a new car.
Why would you refer to thieves as gentleman?
They go through all of this but can’t get a job.
I’m no expert but I would assume that if you are going to commit grand theft auto then wearing a bright red hoodie is probably a poor wardrobe choice for the activity.
I didn’t understand the pun joke
All these videos I’ve seen of new cars being stolen have something in common, all the cars in parked in the driveway.
Lol thieves are getting advance and smart.😆
BLM has to make a living, right? Happy Juneteenth. Abraham Lincoln would be proud.
wh y is a keyfob transmitting constantly id like to know why… only when pressed should it work ad aftermarket alarms folks disable your vehicle with hidden cut off switches go old school
Your getting shot if you try it
Good ole Miami. Cesspool….. 🙄
This is what I was afraid of with push button cars
He called him a gentleman, exactly the opposite
Cant tell me aCLUB lock ain’t worth every penny!!! Simple yet highly effective
Our car was stolen this way, police say this never happens it’s just the media… We probably lost the key.. But we had all the keys.
Gotta stick with a key slot and chip. Old school tech ftw
WRAP YOUR FOB IN FOIL!!!! You’re welcome!
Keep a very well hidden gps chip embedded into the metal of your car with no access to take it out. 👌😎
So key fobs shouldn’t be so expensive if any one can do this
These news guys are dumb….How is “keep keys away from door” the best solution… Have you morons not heard of faraday signal blocking boxes
Lets sue the car manufacturers to get a another vehicle since they haven’t bothered to fix this problem, I mean , they design the fobs ?? And go ahead and make the gas tank non drillable , and the catalytic converter out of sight !!
why waste money on a bag or box to put key fob in. i put my keys in the toilet each night when i get home. it blocks the signal just fine
No one can escape under the Judgement of God, these thieves will face the wrath of God if they will not repent and forsake their evil ways. All thieves will have their part in the lake of fire for eternity
Wonder if that cutting edge technology can stop a .45 to your chest when I put a hole through it for trying to steal my vehicle 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️
Keep your key inside a metal box when home. And use a small box when outside.
This video is an instruction guide for thieves… is this on purpose?
So glad i don’t drive a keyless fob car
I got a 1999 Jeep Wrangler with plastic windows. My catalytic converter is welded to the manifold. My home security is a pit, baseball bat and a 45. Old school. You can keep your technology. 🤣
That my friends is an example of Technology being too smart for its own britches nope old school keys
This dude gets terrible advice why don’t you just wrap your key up in tin foil good luck after that
Easy fix put the key fob inside aluminum foil and put it inside a safe as far away as possible from the driveway. That should do it
Its not high tech.. It’s just using the same technology in the key fob, just not ethically.
Yet we need tighter gun laws
I have a 1991 Toyota Corolla, have been tried to used it as warrant for bank loans, but they can’t accept it… They said: “Even if you park it in front of your house unlocked, I doubted anyone would wanted to risk their freedom getting caught for stealing such antique, I’m sorry, Ma’am…” My dad still laughing at me for that until this very day…
They need to make on/off switches for key fobs. I use a faraday pouch at home but i never thought about them stealing the code while i’m at work or out shopping or at a restaurant.
Saw this coming a long time ago.
wrap key in foil ?
This is why a cut key with a transponder is the best way.
Been doing this way for years now, where y’all been?
Better buy Japanese cars with 🔑 😋
Im not worried. I drive a 900X GaNarly.
Goes downhill great, GaNarly make it up hills.
That’s why i use bike 🚲.
Yeah they prolly worked foe the company at one point in time. Dont blame it on the hood
I warned you about this.
*looks at my 1000 dollar Jeep with a manual transmission *
“Doors open bud”
All thieves should just be shot. Problem solved, no more thieves.
My key bob doesn’t seem to work. I’m not for burglary but these young men could have put their skills into much better use. Dealership cost me 100’s just to replace my key bob. These guys could probably do it in 10 minutes.
What’s it called
Thieves are crazy good at finding solutions and to think on the fly sometimes.
If only they could have applied those skills elsewhere they’d be better off.
My brother lost his truck keys to his 12′ Silverado at Magic Mountain, So Cal. A key guy made a replacement chipped key in 5 mins using the Vin# $200.
Criminals are masterminds wish they would do something good with it
A problem caused by laziness. Get rid of push start and the problem is gone
Ima tie my key on a ballon and let it float over my house a couple feet… we’ll see who wins this battle..
Brake. Lock.
Guess it was just matter of time for them use technology to do it.
Wow, we’ve been warning you people about this for over ten years now.
Maybe one day idiots will take security professionals seriously.
Till then, more power to the thieves. You deserve every loss you experience in life.
If they can get in your car this easy imagine how he’s he’s been getting your smart locks to your house and windows
The fact that the news keeps whispering this the past 15 years is sad.
Such an old scheme, but never makes headlines so manufacturers do something about it
This is why I won’t drive anything new
Have to keep your fob in a box that blocks the signal
Relay grabbing, it’s only been going on for over a decade, nice reporting.
Some of those people help created those boxes.
The car manufacturer didn’t see this coming 🤦🏾♀️
