Why not tell us what was wrong with engine? Plugged fuel line? Fuel tank vent plugged?
I have a feeling there’s a reason he’s not telling.
Pretty sure that the news snippet had to fit in a small time frame, and something technical like Ailerons or Feathering or whatever term they might use to describe the airplane’s failure would be edited out in the interests of saving time and making the blurb as sensationalist as possible, while alienating none of their low-information viewership. Pretty sure you can check multiple online resources to find out the source of the failure.
@Sasheena You can’t.
SAVES HIMSELF FIRST
EVERYONE ELSES SAFETY SECOND
SELFISH THEY ALWAYS PRAISE THESE IDIOTS EVEN WHEN THEY CRASH INTO INNOCENT MOTORISTS
Yeah, he was so selfish, he landed his airplane safely and crashed into exactly *ZERO* innocent motorists. I mean, the nerve of him, when he could have just dive-bombed the airplane into the forest and burnt it down, but instead he does the responsible thing and lands safely.
Newsflash, an airplane coming down out of the sky anywhere can be dangerous. Better to put it down in the place most likely to result in a positive outcome for *all* involved.
Responsible and compassionate people are the best people
yeah planes have problems.. if you intend to go through life assuming airplanes don’t fail then you shouldn’t be flying.
That was nerve wrecking
GOTTA LAND WITHOUT A CRASH…
IN GOD WE TRUST 🇺🇲
Sell it
Why my guy ? You want it ?🤔
In time buddy in time.
These old single engine planes are dangerous. They fall out of the sky every day around the country. Under powered and too many things can fail. Not worth the risk.
Are you a pilot or mechanic?
Yes there are more incidents in single engine aircraft than in multi-engine and jets but the causes for many general aviation incidents are most often traced back to human error and risk can be mitigated with training, knowledge, and preparation for every flight. Climbing thousands of feet in the air is a high risk activity yes, but the risk is well worth the reward.
Thank you well said NBC, and thanks to everyone keeping it positive good to see good people still in the world. 🙏
If your plane makes it out to California, can I borrow it for flight lessons? Lol. Good stuff up there 🌤
Nice landing !
I would sell it bro. Use this blessing as a life lesson to teach the kids/grandkids. Major props on your skills as well 🍻
Thank you for your service boss🇺🇸

Man the fact that it was clean landing with how close those cars were , he perfectly kept that in the air long enough to land between them two cars . Incredible !
It wasn’t even the cars I was impressed with. I’m not sure if he or the people there noticed, but about 3-4 seconds after landing, he passed under an electrical powerline that was crossing the street.
Thanks 🙏
Keep it, buddy. This is your future.
Congratulations
good job bro !!
Three words for this pilot: “Nerves Of Steel”!
He felt the FEAR
Throw it in the trash
He is the men…good job..
Thank God they made it
Just bought land and the airplane, the FBI sound look into them they are involve in illegal stuff. Just cause of the money they have dished out .
Jorge <---- TROLL
@don reeves Donnie, I have friends who are marines and they don’t have a plane and land in other states.
@jorge ledezma ???????
Carburetor/induction heater stopped working so the system “iced up”.
That was my first thought too when he said he was climbing to clear the mountains… of course it’s hard to say with just what was said here but that would make sense.
I seen a man die crashing his crop dusting plane
That plane is going to be in super big trouble and face serious jail time.
Luck and no big rigs driving anywhere along at 80 mph!
Why did he have to take off from the road again? Couldn’t they get it to an airport?
If you had two choices, one is to get a $1500 tow, and the second is to NOT pay to have it towed, why would you elect to have it towed?
So a guy just happened to be on the side of the road to record that.. 😂 okay
Um, I watched the video twice. There was go-pro video from the airplane (SOP for many these days), and later, while it was being towed, there was dash-cam from the sheriff’s office. Unfortunately, there don’t appear to be any recordings of his landing from the ground perspective.
So, *no* there was no guy who just happened to be on the side of the road to record the original landing. And *yes* there were videos on the airplane when it was being towed and when it took off again. (Since they could schedule the takeoff and the tow, easy to record, not so much the emergency landing).
Sort of surprised he didn’t just jump out. I’m sure he was wearing a parachute, right?
/s
Hey I get the joke for once hahah.
Good timing, with the powerlines crossing the highway once on the ground
That dude is ultimately gonna get himself killed in that plane just watch 😁
thank you for your service
You did a good job well don’t
Cutting into the footage seconds before landing and then resuming right at the moment of touchdown is anti-climactic.
Wow! Crazy ! Glad he’s ok
Bless
What an incredible pilot and plane!
This guy is no hero, fancy jeopardising other people’s lives to save you and your fathers. Irresponsible piloting
When engine fails that is the next best place to land Dude.
Great Story. love that mechanic and flight instructor fixed it for free. We could probably all use more stories like this.
Great landing! I’d like to see how you got off the busy road …
Police blocked it off, landing was the hardest, the road looked to be the size of a normal runway for that type of plane.
Lucky dude..what a beautiful wife.😊
Imagine driving from other way lol like wtf is happening
What highway is this?
Safe Landing the plane safe no crashes….
I went flying with my dad before my teens.Loved it.It was an old Taylor craft. The old girl never failed us.Dad is long gone.I hope someone has that old plane and it’s still flying.
I hope so, too. If you have any pictures of it, or documents with the registration number, I can look it up for you. My grandfather had a Taylorcraft as well.
@The Indy Space we flew out of clow airport.naperville Il.i don’t have any pics or numbers.just fond memories🛩️🛩️🛩️🇺🇸😎😎😎
Neat story
Like a Boss
Just remember Harrison Ford on the ⛳⛳ course w his plane….this could hv been WAY WORSE 💖🌹🇺🇸
Rich people problems
Notice how close those powerlines were that he barely passed over…..great job!
seriously… got a dying plane, have to land on a highway filled with cars…. and had to dodge low power lines, and do it when the road was turning sharply…. now that’s an amazing landing.
The determined bell reportedly observe because retailer usually wave midst a permissible distance. lopsided, worthless lung
At 1:19, his plane passes under a multiple strand set of wires crossing the road. Such a close call. Great job and a bit of luck.
Typical day in GTAO
Yuppies
I think that any time we share a video that contains advertising, we should get a cut.
The engine is still running, means power is still being delivered. At least the one guy had the sense to at least make it look like an engine failure. This is just some YouTubeer looking for views, I hope he never flies again, and the FAA comes for his certificate(s).
SEMPER FIDELIS BROTHER!!! YOUR THE MAN
Good job Marine, Semper Fi !
Well done pilot!!
I’ll bet the pilot plays flight sim video games. You dont see solutions like the one he found without a lot of wierd stick time and you get that in flight sims.
Don’t even have time for 121.5 and 7700 with that low altitude. He’s good
Sell that shiet
I wonder what happened, it’s going to be either ignition or fuel related
If he has a bad feeling about flying again he should not take off again. I trust my gut every time.
bless him
Still amazes me that we can barely keep a car on the road from 1967, but an airplane isn’t even halfway through its life.
Want to know what was wrong that could be fixed easily and reliably enough to allow for a takeoff from the road. PS it’s nice to see they let him take off from the road again. Saves a ton of headaches and money, and these planes are quite small, light, and manageable.
Serious skills.
Same feeling after we crash our cars and stuff . Give it a little time u bck in the air !
single engine too. not good i like a twine eng . so happy no one is harmed
Ppl are crazy now of days…hear talk of anything now
Alpha male
It’s a great thing the highway was there for him to land could’ve been worse
God bless you my brother.. I solute you.
Ok. I have something to add. I was a groom at a horse training facility in central Florida when there came a day we the ranch experienced a Cessna making an emergency landing on the training track. He made it under a steel cable wire progression marker that he didn’t know was there, rolled for a bit breaking veered to the right hitting the pool fence. Minor damage no injuries. Ran over to greet and found lunch ham and a beer in the cooler. : H). They from NC.
the question is, if your plane craps out, do you have the right to put people on the highway at risk of death in order to save you own life?
Yes and the people on the highway should be paying attention. If they cause an accident they’re at fault
I was n the S10 right behind him when he landed on the highway. Scared the 💩 out of me
We have President Eisenhower to thank for the interstate system and the design to also handle airplanes in emergencies
Well done!
As a fellow Marine, I’d expect nothing less!! He kept his cool under a nerve wrecking situation and saved the day!! Good Job Marine! Semper Fi!!
Thank for your service!
I would never get on these small private planes they always crash because the owners don’t pay to have the proper maintenance done to these planes on a regular basis. If you can’t afford maintenance don’t buy a plane.
This plane incidents are becoming more and more frequent.
Daddy, there’s an airplane trying to pass us.
I went to flight school in Southport, NC. That’s one thing my flight instructor always said was don’t go to low a bunch of power lines down there
1967
It’s nice to hear some good news!!
👏👏👏👏👏👏🙏✊
Wow this dude deserves a medal 🏅
🥱
You guys call this a a life?
This is a Man’s Man Stay Blessed Brother 🙏

Wow glad everyone didn’t get hurt
Your father in law was bad luck
Rich privilege. So glad they can endanger innocent peoples lives to go fly over some new property. I bet they don’t even pay collision insurance for when they crash into your house while you’re sleeping.
God was with this man 100%
He did an amazing job! That was not the straightest of runways he touched down on. I can’t blame him for having second thoughts about continuing flying. I gave up flying years ago, something that has always been my childhood dream. But after owning a plane and realizing just how expensive they are and a few close calls I decided to keep my feet on the ground. I always told my wife that if I died flying never say at my funeral he died doing what he loved, because if I knew flying would get me killed one day, I would never fly again!
Great Job!
What an amazing story
Such humongous balls of steel!
