THEY DONT HAVE AC IN THOSE TRUCKS??? 😲😤😡
UPS make money and didnt buy UPS truck with AC.. SMH
companies dont care, i bet he got in trouble at work for missing his deadline. now that ups has essentially gutted the union its only a matter of time until they just subcontract out like all the little amazon delivery startups to shield themselves from any liability of even having “employees”. life is so fun when the top one percent get to rig everything in their benefit while everyone else gets screwed over and has to work harder for even less money and benefits than their parents and grandparents made(adjusted for inflation of course)…god bless america though right???
As a mechanic who has to work in the heat word of advice drink plenty of water and if it’s too bad soak your clothes with water just dump it all over yourself it helps
The response from UPS is hilarious! Our drivers are trained to work outdoors and for the effects of hot weather. You can’t train for over 100° heat you morons! Professional athletes have died in extreme heat!
Coming-down off crystal Meth.
I work for FedEx and I’ve had people give me cold water bottles Gatorade even cash to get a cold drink through the day on hot days. Amazing people looking out for you
How is it that a company like UPS has their drivers working delivering packages all day on trucks with no AC in states that have high temperatures like Arizona. Those are life threatening conditions. If this man would’ve died of a heat stroke, tomorrow they would’ve hired someone to replace him, and it would be business as usual.
Saying that the frequent stops makes the air conditioning ineffective is a lie. I drive a cargo van for a delivery service and the air conditioning has been my saving grace. We are also trained to watch for the signs of this and seek medical attention if we feel we need it. I’ve seen people go home or see a medical professional way before they get to this stage. He could have died and carriers have died from heat stroke.
Here is an idea for all of the moronic bleeding hearts out there, encourage UPS to start a program where you can opt out of any deliveries when there is inclement weather, so your stuff will be at the local UPS warehouse that you can go pick up yourself. Anyone that takes a job that requires that you work outside knows that weather is factor on that job, what’s the saying — If you can’t take the heat, stay out of the kitchen.
Ups should be sued! No one can be trained against heat stroke and working in 110° or 120° weather.
UPS is insane. These corporations have to be stopped. All ups workers should go on strike until they have proper cooling and heating installed in ALL trucks.
Wow! The statement from UPS was so dry and unconcerning … 🤔 their trained to work in it smmfh! If this doesn’t say anything what does …
Give them a bottle of cold water or Gatorade when they drop off your package. Always be prepared.
Dehydrated and suffering from heat exhaustion. UPS show very little concern about their employee. I genuinely hope he’s okay.
Ok so UPS did nothing because that was some top tier deflecting of blame.
Lol
A/c in vans will not fix this issue. If yall worked in environments where your going between hot and cold places repeatedly is dangerous.
UPS don’t have AC for their trucks in Arizona? I think management should spend a day in the passenger seat with their drivers to experience how UPS training “prepares” the body for heat exhaustion.
A trillion dollar 💵 company with no a/c 💀
Ups don’t give a who, you travel n people to suffer in the heat like Ujum I don’t like ups response, they are caring at all..why work for some one like that
omg! UPS is so heartless with that comment! and why no AC? the heat is literally killing people out here!!!!!!!! omg the lack of humanity, all these companies care about is money. really hope the driver is doing ok.
UPS doesn’t give a 💩
😥
UPS is brutal.
Why doesn’t ups have ac in the vehicles???
Air locked doors cut into profits.
How does UPS NOT HAVE AC??? Inhumane.
I can’t believe UPS response, They’re trained? Trained for what? Not getting sick? Not fainting? Really?
Why is there no AC in the trucks?
“trained”…. I work for a rival delivery service and there is no such training. Time commitments matter more than anything, even us.
I contacted UPS to let them know as a concerned customer who lives in a residential area and receives my UPS packages during the day, perhaps UPS could change delivery schedules to the evening during periods and in areas where daytime temperatures are VERY elevated dangerous for drivers. I imagine heatstroke is a real possibility.
I bet he was probably dispatched with over 200 stops so some1 in an air conditioned office can “Make their number”. UPS drivers need lighter loads. Especially in the heat. #R.I.P. Esteban Chavez Los Angeles UPS driver
people these days.. i dunno… if its HOT HOT HOT.. sip on water as you work..not that difficult. we even had team meeting just yesterday to remind us to drink water.
Funny how walking around 30 seconds to deliver a package after chilling in AC for 15 minutes leaves the best of us cripled in the sun… Or is that bourbon…
They don’t have AC in there trucks : (
This is hard to watch. I work outside, landscaping, everyday. This heat wave (36 C) has been tough. I work with a towel wrapped around my neck and wipe my face of sweat every minute. Every house I finish i chill in my truck with AC blasted. 10-11hr work days.
I was concerned for the driver and also concerned about the nonchalant way that UPS commented on the situation. Very disturbing.
Golly jus like the other ups driver onna boiling day only less hmm horrendous you know (Bell tolls) 💀 yeah
It’s getting so hot from global warming. We are all out here in this heat, yet no world leader has real plans to stop it.
The sad thing, just disappointing from UPS as a company not caring about drivers 👎
The lack of concern or regard for the well-being of UPS’ drivers is incredibly apparent.
Been there 28 yrs now…the most corrupt and brain washed managers ever the sell their souls for money they supposedly have ppl that monitor the internet for employees posting.Mike Mu.
Lol they tell us not to not to the media.I guess free speech is gone.
Mike Mu Iis ome of the the biggest liars at ups and the company promoted him.local 261.Its pathetic this suff goes on.
UPS not having AC in their trucks is INSANE. imagine driving around phoenix or Vegas in the summer with no AC
I’ve been diagnosed with anxiety over this company how they treat us.They have no care over well being thank God I have my doctor ductument my problems.
I’ve been a roofer for 22 years. Nothing can “Train” you to work in 100°F or higher Temps. Your brain can’t just say…”go away heat ” or “body stop feeling like I’m gonna pass out”. Ups is liable for any heat related deaths or injury of their employees if they do fall victim to heat related illnesses
UPS- their trained to work in high heat!
🙄 like what he went to a training to support heat or what
He’s human!!
He’s just a wimp is all I work in arizona heat on a daily. Bet he can’t pass a drug test
UPS does not provide air conditioning. Wage slave torture! Exxon Knew! General Strike!
usps lets us cca’s take a break whenever we dont feel good from the heat. sometimes between walking loops i have to sit in the AC in the promaster to cool down. its just as miserable as it looks. i love delivering in winter… just wear 3 coats and snowpants and you feel awesome despite your fingers being cold.
There better not be retaliation.
Proof of BIG CORPORATIONS EXPLOITATION and MODERN SLAVERY practices!!!
I work at ups and they been running out of ice and water they don’t give us breaks on the ramp and a lot of drivers havin g bad days I know that for fact UPŠ don’t sound like ups talking
I can’t imagine what farmers, construction, landscape, and hardscape workers are going through 😭
I’m glad the driver is fine. I just don’t understand WHY UPS doesn’t have ac in their truck?! It makes no sense. Seriously…the drivers are trained to work in the heat. They’re still human beings, and all the training, you’d think they would put AC in their trucks. How about doing that.
😧😱
I have heard that there is no air conditioning in those delivery trucks. If that is true OSHA needs to get involved. There is no reason not to have a.c. in those trucks
Ups public relations is full of 💩
How do you train someone to work in hot weather? Is intentionally dehydrating ups drivers part of their training? Lmao
It’s crazy. UPS trucks don’t even have A/C.
They need ice jackets.
I worked at UPS before, straight up slave labor.
“Trained to work outdoors and for the effects of hot weather” oh like drink plenty of water, that’s it…? GIVE THEM FULL BLAST AIR CONDITIONING, food and water!!
We’re trained to work in the HEAT!
How TH are they trained to work in those temperatures…get freaking AC in those trucks so they can gets points of cooling off….show you appreciate your workers UPS!
Good
On this guy for bringing it up. Need more

UPS guys are special forces of delivery and always accomplish the mission.
The dead lands
My heart broke when the employee collapsed to the ground! Overall I’m glad he’s okay though ❤️
Hes fine boys, hes been trained to suffer heatstrokes.
Just make sure to fill in a complaint when your package hasnt been delivered on time ok.
Let’s all give our local drivers some love with snacks and water to appreciate their hard work 🙏 ❤️
Public pretends to care about delivery drivers, that is news
Stupid reply by UPS —– UPS needs to change their outside workers delivery times to early morning 7am to 2pm and then let them go home or sit in the AC when it is over 100F, they do not have AC in their trucks. I don’t care if my package is a day or two late.
This is a blemish on UPS. YOU SHOULD BE ASHAMED.
As an Amazon step van driver no matter how much you train/hydrate there is no winning with the Arizona heat. No matter how well prepared you are it drains you of everything
Check the delivery guy for fentanyl.
Laws should be in place to protect the driver’s working conditions. Like having air conditioning, breaks and sick leave. Disgraceful
They should put ACs in those trucks and have vitamin drinks in the car. Third world countries are better than this.
As you walk outside guys, please carry with you some mineral water blended with lime and strawberries. Or carry coconut water. Natural electrolytes. Also.. They don’t have a/c in those trucks????!
If you ordee something online in this heat…Offer the driver water and snacks. Its the least you can do. Their company should put a/c in those trucks!$
Dude, corporate culture needs to change. This hyper-focus on profit is just too much. Then Musk has the audacity to say stuff like people nowadays don’t wanna work. The conditions are terrible. Just put A/C in the trucks man!
more countries, especially the ones that reach really high temperatures, should adopt the siesta. It doesn’t make sense to force people to work through that heat.
humans can barely stand heat. Global warming is an extimction level event for humans
I used to work for UPS. Conditions were terrible! The warehouses and vehicles a/c’s are in critial need of upgrade/repair and the only kind of training we get for dealing with the heat is to stay HYDRATED! But here’s the thing, it gets so busy sometimes that you don’t even have time to go to the restroom especially, as a driver, so sometimes we limit how much water we drink. UPS as a company should be embrassed!
Like it’s never hot in AZ? 🤔
Look at his hands all cramped up, probably should drink more water 🤷♂️
He probably new to AZ
Trained to work in the heat? How does a person train to work in climate as high at 120 degrees in Arizona?? Hazardous pay for them. The size is really no way to keep their truck schools and they have no doors while the AC is on
I think it is funny that OSHA had a rule about making sure commercial vehicles have heat for extreme cold. But nothing about some way to keep it cool for the drivers. This needs to change.
The ups man walked up like the roadside romeo in dire straits song romeo and Juliet. See it and enjoy
The UPS response is laughable, he obviously wasn’t trained to work in that weather
“UPS workers are trained to work under intense weather conditions” the answer of the YEAR! …what a cold statement. No human being can be “trained” to regulate or control their body responses under extreme circumstances. Extremely lack of empathy and respect for their employees….SHAME of you UPS
Who cares
PUT AC IN THE TRUCKS! For God’s sake
Customer must leave drinking water outside doors for drivers..
I’m so sorry 😞
Please keep hydrated AND Get a USB chargeable fan to wear around your neck & maybe one for the truck too. Also a spray bottle full of clean filtered water with those fans will help. Ironically you can get these from Amazon.
-A Floridian
I don’t think UPS trucks have AC, my cousin quit because he refused to work in those conditions.
Wow, that crappy message from UPS is heartless!!! What kind of ahole says “Oh they’re trained to work in 150° heat, so what if he collapsed!” JERKS!
I hope the delivery driver is fine. I was a delivery driver and we have to face the elements. Most of the people are nice but some people are just plain rude towards us delivery drivers and that was one of the reasons I left.
Isn’t global warming a myth??
I am very appreciative of delivery drivers and hope they get better working conditions, maybe breaks in extreme heat?
