Tazing should be banned, the practice should be considered cruel and unusual and should be removed in all 50 states as a viable means to subdue anyone regardless of circumstances. Truth be known, cops are wimps and cowards, they should be trained in all manner of hand to hand subduction and take downs, only utilizing deadly force in extreme circumstances where there is no other option, of course this would aptly demonstrate that women should have never been allowed to become police officers in the first place…!!!

Tasing elderly people or children should be a felony, especially when a person does not have a weapon. This officer should be charged with a FELONY. The man was 65, harmless, and not a threat to society. No wonder people do not trust law enforcement!

That lawyer seems really enthusiastic when talking about the $100M settlement. If he had just gotten 10% of that, then he would have been set for life.
Why wouldn’t he? It was a big win and police officers very often get away with doing whatever they want to innocent citizens. Maybe he didnt expect to win the case. Also you may not be aware of this but healthcare in the US is rather expensive when you don’t have insurance.

I am so happy for him and his family. This might not give him his body back, but it sure can help heal it. The fact that the cop is still employed speaks quite clearly. His is a liability and a public danger.

He was being chased for panhandling? Very easily avoidable situation.. I guess the cop was feeling frisky or having a bad day, and I get he is certainly a victim here but 100 million? You know that is taxpayer money right? Quick google search shows the entire metro area is 6 million people, so he essentially got around 16-17 bucks from every single person… not a bad haul for one day. He will be able to afford the development of a freaking mind controlled iron man suit and then be able to live a lavish life afterwards along with his distant relatives… Maybe I should get a police brutality done to me too… Before you say it is because he’s black and it definitely wouldn’t happen to a white boy like me, the cop was black too. I definitely feel sorry for the guy, but I would go out of my way to deal with the problems he will have for like 10 million. Probably less if I knew that my family would be okay after I’m gone. Firing the cop and giving him like 10 mil, even 20, would be a fine judgement. A lot of times when officers use tasers in situations like this for example, its all about the officer thinking to himself “how dare you not listen to me” it’s just about the cop feeling sone type of way and then taking it out on the person. It’s like i always say, A lot of cops who display certain behaviors are on Pride and Ego trips. They like the Power they can use. Like in this case…. This officer dis not need to use his taser. I mean just for the simple fact that he’s an older man and I’m sure it’s not to hard for a younger cop to subdue him. Also cops need to be aware of the risks of tasing older people. There’s so many health risks associated with an old person getting tased. Their body might not handle that.
