Credit Card companies are becoming more strict about approvals, and might be verifying your income by requiring a 4506T form which allows them to view your tax return with the IRS.
SECOND CHANGE: Credit Limits are being decreased with no advance notice
Credit limit DECREASES during this time – from a credit card companies perspective – make sense. If someone loses their job, or begins using up their savings – then typically, credit cards are next in line. And, if people don’t soon get jobs to be able to repay those cards – the payments will then go into default, and that hurts the credit card companies bottom line.
HOWEVER…the downside of this, to you as the consumer, is that – if your credit line decreases, so could your credit score. That’s because 30% of your credit score is made up of your “Credit Utilization,” or – in other words – how much credit you have available to you, versus how much you actually use.
THIRD CHANGE:
Credit Cards are offering new different rewards. We’ll start with the American Express Platinum, one of my all time favorite credit cards…and they’re EXTENDING the deadline for the signup bonus by 3 months. In addition to that, the American Express Platinum card is adding a $20 per month streaming credit from May 1st until December 31st when you pay for those services with your credit card. That includes Netflix, Hulu, Spotify, and even YOUTUBE PREMIUM.

I was able to get a college credit card with no credit, and well I also deposited my financial help check. But, Wells Fargo hands out those cards to anyone around the college age. It isn’t the best bank but it’s a start!

I like your videos and they are more than informative. But there is no shame in making a 20-25 minute video, if the content is good. So just slow down with the speaking. I’m assuming here, but I’d think many people stop watching around the 4-6 minute mark, because they have fallen off the wagon. Give the people some time to think and to take the information in. Like 0.15 seconds more per sentence.

STOP GETTING AMAZON PRIME AND STOP BUYING FROM AMAZON. It is just as bad as directly buying from China. Amazon is King Slum Lord or all companies. Please, they do not pay their workers a livable wage, they have the WORST working environment of any company out there. I call it the meat grinder. They only let their employees have 12 days off a year, calling it unpaid time off and paid time off (only 4 days is paid), then they only give ‘2 weeks’ of vacation (which is actually only 8 days), all of which you accrue slowly over the year and CAN NOT KEEP IT FOR THE NEXT YEAR. There is no sick time. There is no ability to call off in the case of an emergency. Their required rates are so ridiculously high that almost every one who works their has admitted to falling asleep while driving because of grueling 10-12 hour shifts without adequate breaks. Then they don’t pay you enough to live near the facilities. I personally know 5 people who have been sent out of the building in an ambulance due to mental breakdown in the middle of shift. That’s 1 per year in 1 facility. There are atleast 5 people per month leaving in an ambulance or being sent home due to being injured or dehydration on the job because Amazon is so hard on you about making rate that people are afraid to stop working to go to the bathroom or drink some f**king water. MANY people have urinated on themselves in the middle of the work day. Several have sh*t themselves. STOP SUPPORTING AMAZON, PLEASE! And make it known to Amazon why you are no longer supporting them. If they loose enough business, they might change. They fire every single employee that tries to unionize or strike, so we are stuck, helpless at that place. Please. Stop Supporting Amazon. Spread the message.

No wonder things are heating up in the usa. In South Africa we have very conservative lending processes, you are vetted for a credit card, your credit score and payment profile is looked at with a magnifying glass, you have to provide bank statements, proof of income, proof of residence, they are one degree away from taking DNA samples, integrating voice recognition software, you name it. If a credit provider gives you credit and you can prove in court that you never could have afforded it in the first place, the credit granter gets fined a lot of money and your loan is dissolved. Don’t think you can lie on an application either. You are checked and double checked.
Let’s just forget about credit and just pay for things you can afford.
