She was on the phone for 20 minutes and within 20 minutes they couldn’t have sent police to her location?
Could she respond precisely to where she is at? Idk if they “immediately” have her location. Be aware of locations that can help correlate your location.
@n0takungfufr0g ! they access your location within a minute or two lol. Waste of tax paying dollars imo. I almost got legitimately kidnapped and the cops chalked it up to a misunderstanding smh.
They can now access a location within a radius of 30 metres or less. Now if she’s running through the woods it would be hard to pinpoint the area or find her. I’m sure the operator was trying to ask as many questions as possible to pinpoint where she was but being in the woods that is hard.
Not saying they did everything they could but 20 minutes going by and then not being able to find her after her phone died is very believable

My question is why do dispatchers not make sure to hurry up and ask very important details first thing on the phone? I feel like a lot of dispatchers from calls I’ve heard drag things out unnecessarily. I know they try to keep the person on the phone but you should know as many details about location within the first 2 minutes at least. They were on the phone for 22 minutes and this still happened?

To answer your question, she couldn’t tell them where she was because she was in the middle of the woods and didn’t know herself. They can’t just dispatch someone to a vague location and say “There’s a woman being chased somewhere in those woods, good luck finding her.”

She was out in the middle of the dense forest and they had no clue where she was because she, herself could not tell them her location.
You get lost in the woods and try to explain to 911 where you are. GPS works well, but it’s not perfect. I called 911 on a car accident once between two large cities, and dispatchers from both sides thought I was in the other one and transferred me. (The car accident was not serious, for the record. They would have sent aid immediately if someone was in danger, but it was frustrating because we were on a bridge on the shoulder of the interstate during morning rush hour. Like, just hurry up and send someone, please!)

I feel so awful for anybody who lives their last few moments of life in absolute terror, but especially so when it’s at the hands of another human. I’m grateful Lauren’s remains were found, but the person who stalked her, terrorized her and stole her life needs to experience that for themselves before there is true justice.

The family should sue for justice because their daughter was on the phone for over 20minutes yet no one helped her. It is the only way that it will prevent it from happening again. I would like to listen to that call. Sometimes the 911 operators dont do their job right.
