With renewable energy production on the up, the need for dependable energy storage solutions has never been greater. Recently, new technologies have driven that storage to new levels of efficiency but the future of renewable energy depends on whether or not they take off.

Limited news here and no hard or new technical details given
Agree. “Highly efficient storage” and no figure mentioned.
Dope
This lady certainly has the ability to store energy !
Stating the obvious – nothing more – get over it.
Great to see that proven technology; that’s available today could solve today’s energy needs.
where did you see a proven technology? A different video perhaps?
i miss stockholm

We can also use this method to atore energy👆👆
16:45 Suggesting that electrolysis of water has some connection with efficiency – nope! Also no mention that the lack of storage means using natural gas in many regions.
Why can’t hydrogen be stored in the same geological structures that natural gas came from?
@Lily Warner Leakage.
@AK there are many geological formations that are able to be used to store large amounts of hydrogen
@Lily Warner Okay
OMG had to stop watching 7 mins in, Need and want is all you hear about. How do I look intelligent with out looking like I have no Idea what the real answers are on storing energy. BTW “smart-grid” is an oxy-moron!!!
$10T by 2040? Bernie’s renewable plan alone is 16T. Where are these numbers coming from?
“can you explain electromagnetic theory?” what, why? What was the purpose of that tangent
I know right, the poor professor being asked to explain the basics of electricity with one sentence. I did enjoy his response of saying “its the fundamental of electricity”; basically fuck off and google it if you wanna know
It reminded me of that wonderful scetch where a charming interviewer asks John Cleese how to play a flute.
@Drozy coder Yup. Dude thats a paper in BE and you could do a research for 5 to 6 years in that area of electromagnetic theory, yet he wants to explain them in 2 min.
HAHA Imao
Sweden has nuclear energy is it really is in such a shock that their ahead in renewable energy. For some reason Americans and Europeans other than France are very squeamish about nuclear which is clean and pure energy.
Nuclear is not renewable…
@RedCube That’s what the sun runs on so . . .
Squeamish? America has a hundred NPPs, twice as many as France. But they’re unable to compete against renewables plus storage, so they’re being shut down. Iowa’s only NPP is now shut down and will be decommissioned.
Stop talking to old industry giants. They are the worst in understanding the future of their industries lol.
Just ask kodak, ibm, it&t and horse breeders in 1900 lol.
The world will get all its power from pv by 2030 and it will be the cheapest energy in human history at nearly free.
Stop living in the past and except the disruption that is coming. It is the car, internet, mobile phones, digital imaging, mp3s all over again.
Make it yourself thanks to Avasva solutions. I think it’s the best way to learn how to build it in the cheapest way.
Sounds like a utopia
Make and store hydrogen then use fuel cells.
The problem is scale. Nuclear is far better.
Thomas that is bullshit,Aus has a lot more than that,and more will be developed,same as peak oil bullshit!
@Klaas dykstra What are you talking about? Source?
@Klaas dykstra there is a limited amount of oil, previous estimates of peak oil were wrong because they didnt account for offshore drilling and fracking. But each progressive source is harder and harder to extract
@Ryen We could tap the internal heat of the Earth’s core to dive steam turbines. The fact that it cannot be done should not prevent us from counting on it. I like your science, the boundary between fiction and fact is so very flexible.
@Acme Fixer France Runs it grid on Nuclear, Sweden, Germany, and Denmark run theirs on coal. No one relies on wind or solar. Its an expensive hobby.
There is also “Liquid Air” !!!
Infomercial
storage and weather based energy systems are a waste of ressources. Nuclear power is much cleaner and will lift our civilization
Cleaner?? Storing the wast for 10000 of years. 👍🏻
@thomkers nuclear produces a million times less waste than coal, wind, gas, solar, oil, biomass. Geothermal is the only tech that has the same low footprint on the environment, but we dont have geothermal available everywhere
You guys should tjek out SaltX in Sweden. They are making some insane storage solution with salt.
,Z’,’Q,”’
🤦♂ No mechanical storages, hydropower…
That stock video clip of the dude in the hardhat interacting with a tablet like he’s just emerged from a cave he’s lived in his entire life and gingerly holding it as perpendicular to the ground as he can while cautiously poking at it like it could explode on him at any moment 😂
ahahahahahah Excellent, I was thinking about this very thing right now !
I thought this was outdated and no one would do it, but I was clearly wrong. Ahahahah
Can creating from hydrogen from solar and wind for use in fuel cells be used as a energy storage method.
i like the balanced view combining long distance transmission (interconnection) and storage
why not Mongolian man and Irish women?
What
@Lily Warner rac ist channel
So many people talking so much bullshit!
Important information that is made unreliable by types that should be selling second hand cars or travel insurances. Especially their frequent use of ill defined so meaningless words like ‘renewable’ and ‘AI’ is rather irritating.
The charming interviewer is very good at replicating the scripted questions and frequently nodding as if she even understands the english, let alone ‘the theory of electromagnetism’.
Energy storage facility… with all the lights left on. Figures…
The Danes are way ahead of this, they build the wind turbines near a bakery, they then bake delicious pastries and then sell them to large red headed gentleman, so cutting down heavily on the power used by ovens. As usual the Europeans have all the answers.
finally someone is talking about this.
Manson is atenured professor. A paid consultant , and, after finding A, can’t even imagine B, or C,or anything beyond. After fileing a pattaint, he has no incentive to promote an advancement in the science. Pathetic Morons.
WE have energy independence now if we will take it.
Open source is out there and available for all.
Science has become entertainment and bullshit show. I bet you can make Elephant Toothpaste in 6 different countries. But what can you do with it? Not a God dambed thing!
When will you wake up to the fact that you have been lied 2?
Hero defended his city from invaders, with steam cannons, 1,000 years ago. Old technology has to be revised, and the modern, dumbed- downed- 4- ū. Tech. Has 2 go.
AI and STEM ARE DOPEIUM 4THE MASSES! THERE WAS NO MENTION OF WHAT WHEN OR HOW THE ENERGY WOULD BE STORED. AI IS DIGITAL. IT IS A POWER CONSUMER. WILL IT STEAL THE POWER THAT IS IN YOUR LAPTOP’S BATTERY? ARE YOU WILLING 2 PAY 4 IT TWICE?CAN YOU SAY ‘BULLSHIT’? I CAN.
Daniell Manson’s idea is to REGULATE. THAT IS, HE WILL PAY MONEY TO A LOBBYIST, TO PAY OFF A POLITISSION, IN ORDER TO LEGISLATION THE WAY THAT ENERGY MUST BE PRODUCED. THEY DON’T WANT ANY OUTSIDE OF THE BOX BULLSHIT.
THAT IS THE TYPE OF BULLSHIT THAT HAS 2 GO. VOTE WITH YOUR $. PUT THE TWATPUTSES OUT OF TERRANY.
Im using Avasva instructions to make it and I do it already 🙂
great content thanks
