“Genetic genealogy helped investigators identify the suspect, a source with knowledge of the case told CNN. DNA found in Idaho was taken through a public database to find potential matches for family members, the source said. Once potential family matches were found, subsequent investigative work by law enforcement led to the identification of Kohberger.”

Suspect his DNA was found underneath fingernails of the victim(s) who fought back and possibly the wounds/cavities of the others. Sounds like police initially matched him via genealogical relatives as he wasn’t in CODIS. Arrived at 100% certainty through live DNA test of suspect, either through the surveillance/cup dropped process or post-arrest test. Probably the former given high profile nature of this arrest. Glad he’s caught.

There was quite some personal info about him on the daily beast. Former friends/classmates said that he used to be bullied for being overweight and was rather shy. Then lost lot’s of weight within a few month and turned into being a very mean bully himself, being terrible even to his own friends.

My theory, at the back of my head, could it be that Kohberger was some kinda sociopath in a way that he conducted an “experiment”, such as murder crime, for his study in criminology? I mean, like he’s having this theory of murder act for his study, and doing the crime himself to prove his theory??

I’m curious what dna evidence they have? I’m going to guess skin particles or maybe sweat or something because one of the girls fought back apparently. Hope that’s the guy. I think people need to know everyone is innocent until proven guilty though and can’t jump straight to conclusions until more information is revealed.

This guy probably thinks he can outsmart the FBI and other detectives. I find it highly unlikely that these detectives have the wrong guy. But anyone arrested is ALWAYS innocent until proven GUILTY. I’m sure that’s what this guy is going for, and he probably thinks they don’t have anything on him that’ll stick in court. This means, he has carefully planned these murders as to not get caught. Living his life like nothing had happened. Imagine this, he spent Thanksgiving and Christmas with other people, after he had just brutally murdered 4 people just weeks before! I gotta admit, if this is their guy, pretty impressive how he was able to act as if nothing had happened. I think I couldn’t keep my mouth shut, or even act normal anymore. Hats off to Idaho police and all investigators involved tracking this killer down!!!!

His DNA was found in the car, and then one of his relatives had their DNA on the internet because they did 23andMe or whatever, and they track down his father mother sister cousin, and that verified that the guy that owned that car was the perpetrator. My guess on it all.

This type of crime is very likely to leave DNA evidence for which there is numerous tracking options available to police, so If you are going to commit a horrific crime like this why would you provide a history of interest and involvement evidence to help investigators piece together the puzzle?

I would love to see the video from the neighbors security cameras or doorbell ring camera things. One of those must have picked up his tag number and the FBI began following his car on street cameras back to his apartment in Washington.

If they went all the way to Pennsylvania to get him, it means they have good evidence. Any evidence of this guy in the house, with his local associations and public knowledge of his unwelcomeness associated with the victims. You’d ask, why was he there, why is his evidence of being in the house more apparent to the timeline. the amount of partying and other visitors, but they happen to find something directly linked to him that stuck out like a sore thumb. Hopefully, students everywhere can continue to enjoy their youth now. But if he is guilty. With how he is. This will only bring further social disarray to loners, and awkward outcasts. Especially as they age.

“No Doubts” That tells me they have DNA evidence that can no be denied based on it’s location. I’m thinking the nails. 2 of vistims had defensive wounds, there’s a good chance his DNA is under their nails or on their person somehow. I also saw the vague mentioning of possible DNA evidence from the crime scene being transferred to his apartment. Very interested in that probable cause affidavit.
