The problem is that Putin probably already realized that the sanctions won’t be lifted anyway if he stops the war now, that they already spent a lot of blood and treasure to come back with nothing to show for it is not an option and that if they can turn this into a long war of attrition, they may snatch a victory at the end.
Putin is not worried about the cost to be paid. After all Russia does have 6000 nukes in the bank. While the war in Ukraine is costly in lives and treasure, unfortunately it is the only way Russia could demand that hypocrites in the West give it the security guarantees Putin has insisted on for 20 years.
Russia has never collect the 109.721 body bags of the russians soldiers because there is no war.
The familis of these soldiers will never know what happened x ever….this is the russian stile x patriots in the last 3 decades.
