Every time someone says Ukraine is winning this war I can’t help but wonder what if they were losing, how would it be like? The country is practically getting destroyed.
Its because the expectations were so low that Ukraine would have survived the initial assault. Instead, 10 months later, they have managed to take back some territory, inflict massive damage to their artillery and troops, and essentially made this a much tougher fight for Putin. Not to say that Ukraine isn’t suffering immensely; they are. But they are more motivated to fight than the Russians are. And bigger picture, this has united the West against the Fascist Putin regimen. Finally, Finland and Sweden are likely to join NATO at some point, which wil be a big blow to Putin, as they have been non-aligned for decades until now.
