More inflationary pressure
how about people living on SSI disability, Any news. hasn’t been touched since 1984.
These seniors deserve more. Why did it take so long
Because the cpi and other garbo indexes are frauds.
The COLA comes out every Oct
Don count on it as Biden has always shorted his promises and lies about what he said he had done already to hide his lies ! LoL a political move to get votes for nothing at all !
You can bet it’s all a fake lie that is a (pathetic ) move to get votes !
It won’t happen, because it makes PERFECT SENSE! So they won’t do anything but take more $$$$ from the poorest of us all! Thanx again gop and the right! FUCKING TELL ME IM WRONG!⚓🇺🇸
I suspect SS will soon enough push back the age near 70 (if not 72) before people can apply for it, and the amount receive per person will be far less than those who came before them.
Exactly what the Republicans want to do
And how long and severe has inflation been going up the entire time especially since the 08 and the central bank’s innapropriate policy response to it.
It’s not going to be that high. You’ll be lucky if it’s 6% to 8%
Millennials are getting screwed.
The s&p 500, year over year over the past 30 years has grown about 12% each year on average. If you wish to save for retirement don’t rely on social security and instead you should be placing your money into index mutual funds in either a 401k and/or a roth IRA for retirement
Inflation is transitory 2021 ….. inflation has peaked 2022….
Inflation fluctuates 2023…..
More relief for boomers. I hate these clowns.
On an unrelated note: That woman. The host. Wow she’s gorgeous!
It will not actually be an increase because my rent will be increased again. I worked 60 years but as a female my wages were not as high as a male so my Social Security is under Poverty level. Rent is 3/4’s of my income, cut the cable, sold my auto, and receive food from the Food Bank.
Amen
Oct.2023 welcome it
Shortages hurt
last time we got a raise we also got an increase in monthly cost of Medicare to take the raise away so how much actual raise did seniors get ? well enough to buy 5 gallons of 5.00 a gallon gasoline
I might be dead by the time it gets here.
The payments that are supposed to come for SSI recipients are delivered considering your birthday who receives these payments because I have never seen a payment at all.
This will make sure we have money to pay the raise in everything .like tax.elic.water.gas inc.morg.ect .but we’ll still be short on money for food every thing has gone .way up so don’t breath to deeply.
Everything is high food and rent and gas electric is nothing need 15 percent
Elderly people need checks now not next year
Mexico has their Money laundry system – The Drug Cartels – USA has it own cartel – the Federal Reserve… Who controls the flow of fake money – you guessed it… Let the presses crank up big time – who gives a S*** about inflation ; the sky’s the limit… Its gonna be like an old time whaler terminology – she’s gonna go till she blows…
Receive a social security check o n the first of September or third soon as possible would like anotise when.
That is all what the politicians are doing only talks but nothing is been done especially for the older folks by the time they receive something might happen but yet the politicians pockets are full but they don’t know we Americans are struggling so much.
People in Georgia is very upset because ssi ss va and others that’s been put last when it comes to getting help from Biden we’re the ones that can keep him in office but helping business debt forgiveness how about people on a fixed income food is higher anytime we get a raise they take something from us I get 51 food stamps 841 check. Light bill 380 to400 dollars life insurance 100 rent 250 I don’t even have anything to buy food with do something or it’s gonna be a change come election day
We need help now
Jesus and
The cola increase will be in the high sevens or the low eights. June’s 9.1% CPI will not be used. Only July’s 8.5% CPI and August 8.3% CPI. So so far we’re only up to 8.4%. we still have to have September CPI averaged in. However Medicare will be paying us back some of last year’s part b increase. Not looking forward to the cola because it will be big enough to stop some of the other benefits that we get. So you get your cola increase and lose your food stamps or your Social security extra help or some other benefits because now you won’t qualify.
That would be nice in about SSI
I think with 2 months numbers in, both over 8 percent inflation September’s number should be at a minimum 8 percent and I feel a very conservative increase of 8 percent is what Americans can figure they will get , any more will be a bonus
cola increase is 8..7 procenat
Yeah, ok, then rent goes up higher, so does groceries and gas!!! Sick world.
And, the government will screw us over one way or the other!!!!! Not a big deal. Inflation, ba humbug!!!!!!
