Emergency services, fire departments and the police have data showing where current danger exists based on the past. Yet, the warnings from the experts are too often ignored with the consequence of people dying. We see this with every fire and with each storm. I don’t get it. Following evacuation or stay in place orders save lives. The west needs the water and snow from these storms badly and the harm from them in many cases can be reduced by relying on what the experts tell you to do.

I live in NorCal. Got woke up by a text message from the national weather stating tornado.. it was super windy with tons of lightning and thunder and torrential downpour and hail. It was too dark at 4:00 a.m. to check it out. We haven’t had anything like this in a while. I’ll never forget the flood in 97′ . I remember 17′ had minimal flooding.
