Russia has launched a new barrage of missiles at targets across Ukraine, killing at least 14 people in the eastern-central city of Dnipro and disrupting power supplies in the Kyiv and Kharkiv regions, officials said.
The attacks on Saturday smashed a nine-storey apartment block in Dnipro, reducing an entire section of the building to rubble and sending smoke billowing into the sky. The deaths included that of a 15-year-old girl, according to officials.

Or now, do we think Putin has become more rational and intelligent by asking for a ceasefire, after all the death and destruction he has caused? And President Zelenskyy as well, do you think he will be a rational intelligent negotiator after so many of his countryman have perished? No one knows for sure yet how many tens or hundreds of thousands of innocent Ukranian men women and children have been murdered or detained in Russia. Do we really expect any of the EU leaders to be fully rational after all the extremes they have been forced to work through? Sure beefing up Ukraine’s punch will eventually force Russia out but it won’t stop this war.

To stop this war, first thing the West/NATO needs to realize it’s already in a full scale hot war with Russia right now. All Russian citizens or any Russian with dual citizenry within the EU should be detained as enemy combatants and imprisoned as POWs or deported back to Russia whether defecting or not. That’s their only choice, detained for the entire length of the war or deported. It’s more choice than the U.S. gave German and Japanese Americans during WW2 and it’s more choice than the Kremlin would give EU citizens inside Russia today. The West could continue to keep our military involvement contained within Ukraine and political aims focused on globalizing sanctions as much as possible. Officially declaring war would justify stronger and stronger sanctions as a nonviolent, tempered response during official wartime and help Europe as a people understand, we, the West, are now truly officially at war with Russia. And as in all times of war, there are always the usual extra costs across society in general and the economy specifically, as well as personal sacrifices demanded of everyone. We are at war and we must all do whatever it takes to win ffs.
Although in the end, winning on the battlefield doesn’t really work when you’re fighting a psychotic megalomaniac who is highly trained to deny the reality of this war with every fiber of his subconscious being.
