Why? California is a pretty awesome biodiverse place. It also has pretty much the only mild climate in the continental united states along the coastal regions. Home to the tallest trees in the world with some of the oldest old growth forests, as well as the largest trees in the world. California is also the largest agricultural producer in the US. 96% of almonds for example come from CA. Without us food prices would likely skyrocket in the US. CA is also the 4th largest economy in the world just as a State. I think maybe you should calm down a bit.
